Hi! I'm Ali. Some of my favorite brands are Anthropologie, Free People, Dr Marten, POL, AllFenix, Monteil… I’m a mom of 3 boys and full time student working towards a PA. I “retired” from event planning to be home with my kiddos and the winds blew me in the direction of medicine. ♥️ I love to travel, meet new people and explore and simmer in this amazing world. highest_healing @avks that explains why I felt very connected to you when I saw your picture and read yours. I’m glad you’re going into the medical field : ) I worked long term home health & hospice as a patient care tech until i became disabled. I started improving a lot the end of last year after I thought malabsorption could be the main issue (that still is undiagnosed) liquid vitamins & I no longer use a walker! I’m determined now ☺️ Enjoy the upcoming weekend 🙌

avks @highest_healing awe! Love it! Keep pushing and climbing. That is the reason I pivoted towards medicine. Years of dealing with surgeries, imaging and tests. I wanted to fully understand everything so initially that was all it was. A few classes here and there. Then in 2020 those classes randomly lined up and I received a biology degree. 😂

avks @highest_healing So I figured why stop there. I have DDD and a prosthetic C5-6. But other issues including chronic pain. I combat it with keeping in the best shape possible and getting as much nutrition in. But even with that I have to use a cane some days. Beyond frustrating when one day I have do a double round house to a beautiful side kick on the bag, then two days later can’t feel one of my legs and have to use a cane.

highest_healing @avks That’s so amazing that you’ve pushed yourself so hard like that! 🙌 I understand chronic pain so much and I know how hard it is. It’s so much easier to just give in-I’m glad you have the spirit and drive to fight. I’m glad I found mine✨ last year all my deficiencies started taking a major toll on my health & I was so close to death & said Nope! 🤗 i lifted weights & worked out my whole life until getting sick Oct 2014

highest_healing @avks I decided to try to start within (nutrition) & work my way back to workouts (very simple yoga for now)I couldn’t raise my arms more than 2-3 x’s at 1st. It’s so nice to meet someone who Really gets it! I have to wear a band for my Sacroiliitis when I walk (sometimes my cane) Liquid vitamins! That’s what changed it all for me in just a couple of months.

highest_healing @avks I have permanent nerve damage from b12 being 115-130 for years & other deficiencies (b12 w/ insintric factor?) a List of issues but determined as you are also! So glad I met you! Hardest part for me right now is only focusing on me 😅Taking it slow is hard lol but as you know necessary & so are the down day. You look great! I’m sure you had the same issue with me because of that-Drs didn’t take me seriously at 1st (said I was depressed) we definitely need people like you in the field!🫶

avks @highest_healing sorry! Just now seeing your reply! Yes, I had a surgeon say to my face “sometimes women are just in pain.” This was 4 months after being hospitalized 3 days postpartum. I later had to have the entire area removed. But, those words were the fire I needed. My OB called and chewed him out for me too. 😬😂

chaniya2130 @avks yes I could imagine I used to do the same thing the reason I stopped was because I was renting a garage I guess they’re still in the building so the new person about it.
