I got married a few weeks ago and am going through all my stuff (trying to make some room for my husband!) and want to clear out some things I’ve never even used. fadedblue77 Congratulations! Some of the most helpful things I've learned are: 1) Be patient. There are millions of people on the site, it takes a while to get your stuff seen, much less sold. But it does happen, don't give up. 2) Take clear, close-up photos. The more color the better. It does make a difference in what people choose to look at.

fadedblue77 3) Take time to read the guidelines & FAQs, especially the list of items not allowed. Selling prohibited items (i.e. perfume, used makeup, electronics) can get you kicked off. 4) Share, share, share! When people share your stuff, go to their closet and share theirs back. Go to your feed and share stuff you like. Definitely share your items to the themed parties every day, and attend the parties to share other people's stuff.

fadedblue77 5) Describe things completely. Takes a little longer to measure, etc., and write it all out, but as we all know, sizes vary from one brand to another. And some people won't take the time to ask, they'll just move on. Photograph & describe flaws, even minor ones. Also, my stuff seems to get noticed more when I include the brand in the title, too. "Black dress" just doesn't give a buyer much (the photo already tells me that!).

fadedblue77 But "Tory Burch Petite Lace-Top Dress" might catch someone's attention. Fabric content/care instructions help, too (Or save a step and include photos of the tags.) 6) If you find a closet that's fun to look through, take some of their ideas and run with them! If you're bored or leave with more questions than answers, others will, too.

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 To get to their closet, just click on their name. You can only share 1 item at a time, not the whole closet. Just click on the little square with the arrows, either from the closet or while in the item's post itself. You'll get a screen that asks if you want to share to your followers or to a party that's going on. (If you share to party, it also shares to followers, but not the other way around.)

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 That's it! PM is very much a social site - share someone's stuff, they share yours. BTW, sharing (your own and others) means those items appear on your followers' feeds. The more you share and the more people you follow, the more those items get seen, hopefully meaning the sooner they get sold!

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 I’m still confused about this whole sharing thing. I’ve gotten notifications on the news tab(?) that someone shared my listing. When I click that, it says something encouraging me to share theirs. That takes me to their page and there’s a message on the top that says I can share their closet.

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 When I click that, a screen pops up giving me the option to Share to Friends via Messenger, SMS, Email, or Copy Link. Or Share to Your Network via Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, twitter, or Tumblr. But I don’t see anywhere to share to PM followers. What am I doing wrong?!

rubygirl58 @ebat43 thanks Ed! Tying to get the hang of everything. Is there any kind of feedback system for buyers and sellers? I’m used to using eBay where everyone has a feedback rating so you know if a seller’s items usually aren’t as described etc.

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 When you click on that msg (someone shared your listing) OR click on that person's name, you see their closet, with a page of photos & titles (their listings). Under each item, you'll see a heart, a shopping bag with a +, and a square made of 2 arrows. Press the square and you get that list you described (friends, network, etc.). The very first item on the list is the Poshmark logo and the word "Followers."

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 If there is a party going on that you could share to, the name of the party is 1st on the list, and then Followers. (You can share to a party only if the item fits the theme, such as Kids Clothes, or Jewelry & Accessories, etc.). Click on Followers, and the item is shared. That's it!

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 Also, if you click on the listing, you'll see all the photos, the description of the item, and other info. Scroll down and you'll see the same heart, shopping bag, and arrow square as on the closet page. Same thing to share as I described above. All those other options (Facebook, Email, etc.) are possible, too - just require an even longer explanation! So sorry if I confused you!

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 or @ebat43 Do either of you have any idea why another use was able to see some of my listings before but now suddenly can't? When they try to click on the comments to go to my items it says "listing not found, please try again". I tried making a new listing for one of the items but she can't see that one either. I emailed support but haven't heard back.

fadedblue77 Same here. I have a lot more problems with postings when using the online version, but never had a problem when using the app on my phone. Also, did you check to be sure you didn't accidentally block her (or she blocked you) from seeing your posts? Don't hesitate to email support again if you don't hear from them reasonably soon. They're not very fast to respond. Wish I could help more.

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 @ebat43 Thanks so much for getting back to me. I don't think I blocked her. She's able to leave comments here and can see my other listings, just not the two bracelets. The bracelets are showing up for me on my phone and computer but I believe the buyer was using the app (she commented that she even made sure her app was up to date) so it shouldn't be that.

rubygirl58 @mn7ca123 I just heard back from support with the incredibly unhelpful "We're sorry to hear the buyer is experiencing issues. Please tel the buyer to reach out to support so we may further assist them with purchasing on their end." I can't find anywhere that the listings have an "item number' you can reference to support but I only have 14 listings so it shouldn't be hard for them to figure out which ones you want.

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 @ebat43 do you also have any experience with return cases? One of the diamonds fell out of the setting in my ring I sold and shipped last week. The buyer found the tiny diamond in the ring pouch but opened a return claim on Saturday. She and I have been messaging back and forth on there since Saturday and have yet to hear anything from Posh support about what we're supposed to do.

fadedblue77 I just had to return an item that was broken -- she, as the buyer, should go to the "Purchases" category and click on the item she wants to return. Right next to where you rate the item, there's a question about any problems with the item, and once she clicks on that, it will give her the option to describe the problem. She has to do it within 72 hours of receiving the item or she's no longer able to return or get a refund.

fadedblue77 After Poshmark approves the return, they'll send her a return label to use to send it back to you. Then, once you receive the item and mark it "received," they'll refund her money to her Poshmark account.

fadedblue77 Also, after she describes the problem, Poshmark should notify you, the seller, so you can respond (dispute her claims or whatever you want to say). Both of you should check your email -- they'll email you when the claim is denied or approved. Be sure to check your spam folder, too, in case it didn't get to your "Inbox."

mn7ca123 @rubygirl58 That is so crazy! I just went on my computer to check a different way and I can't see the items here either. On my end, your closest says 14 listings but I only see 9 items posted (including items for sale and sold items). I also went to your previous comments and tried to click on the listings and they say "The listing you are looking for is no longer available".

rubygirl58 @fadedblue77 The buyer did open a case on Saturday morning and she and I have been messaging back and forth under the "comment on case" section but we haven't received any comments from Poshmark and the order status still says "case in review"

rubygirl58 @mn7ca123 Thanks so much for checking that. I'm afraid there's something wrong with my listings, not anything you're doing. When I try to make a private offer to all the "likers" of the bracelets, I keep getting an error message. It seems to be the items I lowered the price on yesterday as they were working fine before that. And I honestly haven't dealt with the authentication process.

rubygirl58 @mn7ca123 I got married last month and I literally joined Poshmark 13 days ago to sell things I've had buried deep in my closet as I try to make some room for my husband's stuff! I did just get off the phone with the David Yurman store where he purchased the bracelets and they at least verified for me that he purchased them there in 2011 but, they understandably, can't provide another receipt to anyone other than the original buyer.

fadedblue77 Ally, if the status still says "Case in Review," they are just being slow about responding. Maybe just a high volume of cases to handle. I'd give them at least a couple more days before asking about it. (Could be the people handling them don't work on weekends.)

fadedblue77 @rubygirl58 Poshmark puts it in the Luxury market automatically if it's a luxury market brand. It still appears in the category you selected. Ex. Louboutin shoes appear in the shoes category & Luxury market.
