greystarz2986 @sisterpie they are siblings. Both 10 1/2. The blonde is named Mr. Blue because of his eyes and the dark one is Isabella. Mr. Blue was just diagnosed with dementia so I’m still living in a world of disbelief.

sisterpie @greystarz2986 Oh, I am so sorry! I feel your pain. Kitty is my youngest (Zoya is my sister's) and when she was 5 mos. old we found out she has a genetic birth defect to her one eye. So she is 99% blind in that eye and we take her to Cornell in Ithaca, NY twice a year. I see you are in Watertown and you might know of Cornell. Your pups are gorgeous! Sending Hugs and kisses!!

greystarz2986 @sisterpie I do know Cornell. My sister has had to take her cat there for an ulcer of the eye. He is better now. The vet said to imagine sand In our eye day after day. That was the pain echo ( the cat) was feeling. He’s 100% better thankfully. I just take 1 day at a time. Isabella is being an excellent sister and caring for him.

sisterpie @greystarz2986 Cornell - I can't say enough about the care they give my baby. They are so gentle and sweet with her. Does dementia in dogs present like it does in humans? The poor thing -I'm wondering if he forgets who you are, that would be so tragic 😰 Ours are so social and love people - if one of them didn't know who I was, they would be okay, but that would be heartbreaking.

greystarz2986 @sisterpie the vet says it’s similar to presenting in people. He was fine until aug 22. Then started trying to climb in the dryer, fit in super tiny places and prefers being outside.in the rain he now likes to lay outside. But he is on an excellent medicine that has brought him mostly back. But only so much time.

greystarz2986 @sisterpie thank you so much. I’m hoping the meds bring us more time. He’s still the affectionate boy he always has been. Just sleepier. Still loves his belly rubs though❤️ Isabella lays right next to him watching him like a mother hen. All day.
