@cassiejo73 Hi, sorry i am just now getting around to answering your question as to why i was in the hospital. Well...i have seizures and my Neurologist had me admitted to Epilepsy Monitoring Unit to find out if my seizures are Epileptic or not.

@wendyhenley Well i have been on meds for mine off and on again for yrs. But i have been back on them again since last year. Anyway, they found out that my seizures are not Epileptic and that they are brought on by stress. I know my seizures are Petite Mal and not Grand Mal. God Bless your sons heart. @jhkeaton2002 i probably do need a new Nike cap but no Johnson & Johnson didn't get me. I had a didn't kind of cancer and it wasn't caused by their stuff though cause i never used it down there. But anyway, in the pic i was in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. So those bandages around my head were to cover a bunch of EEG leads that were attached to my head.

Yeah it's a pic from May! I didn't want to post a pic like that but i was in the hospital when this website so happened to pop up and for some reason it wouldn't even let me browse without creating an account and then it wouldn't let me create an account with a picture so i had no choice but to take one while i was in there. But no worries i was only in the EMU. So those are just a bunch of EEG leads attached to my head and wrapped up. Oh sorry...the EMU is the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

🌻🙋🏻💐 - Hi Amber. Keep the Faith. Cancer is scary, but you can beat it down. I'm 15 years in remission as of June 1. Do whatever you can to take care the best possible care of yourself. Doctors told me back then that my diet didn't matter, but it does. You need both medical and food as weapons to attack it. I'm rooting for you!! 🎈🎈

@newyork222 yeah i know, my Dr.'s put me on a strict diet while i was going through Chemo and Radiation. And i still have to be on a diet just now as strict as before but then i do have other types of diets i have to be on for GI problems.

Hope your doing better!! I just scanned the comments so I dk what I missed in all the convo's, but I got that you have seizures... My daughter does as well. Juvenile Epilepsy, they thought she would out grow it but she did not...she can't take 2 steps without having a seizure. Hopefully, ur situation is not like that. And hopefully the tests they ran gave you some needed answers!!! Take care and enjoy Poshing!!

@ady67 Oh! Hey gal, i keep forgetting to post on here that i am doing some what better. I mean i'm not in the hospital anymore. I've actually been out since the 23rd of May i just haven't updated my pic yet. And thanx for the get well wish. I still have the seizures and the black outs and yes they sure do drive me crazy cause i don't always know when they are are going to happen. But i do try to stay stress free.

@harleysshopping I see you have your own health issues as well-I'm so sorry. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with non-epileptic seizures as well that were due to high levels of stress brought on by both of my autoimmune diseases so I totally get it! NOT FUN. I have learned to kind of quiet my heart and mind and just breathe when I feel one about to happen. I also take a very low daily dose of an anti-epileptic. I hope you have been able to find some relief and have a great neuro who works with you!

@jmwelker5 yeah i know what u mean there. In that pic of me in the hospital i was actually admitted by neurologist into the EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) cause he wanted to find out if my seizures were epileptic or non-epileptic and to see if my black outs were related to the seizures. And so far all they know is that my seizures are brought on by stress so they upped the dose my seizure med and my black outs they didn't mention. But i will find out i guess when i go back.

My dad n I have gone through your experiences with seizures. I get like blackouts with no warning. Been a while but I still fall plenty (I tell my friends I have a great relationship with the floor, cos I fall and have done lots of damage/surgeries to my poor body because of it.) hoping they find what will help curb your episodes.

@diryan0912 Hi! That's pretty much the same with me along with my seizures. But they aren't sure yet if the blackouts are linked to the seizures cause they always happen at different times. And my blackouts usually always happen while i'm outside. So me & the concrete don't get along. But i tell people the concrete attacked me. Lol! (On that part) Or that i got into a fight with the concrete and the concrete won.

Hello Amber! I was reading through some of your comments and I feel we have some similarities. I have something called Conversion Disorder, as well as a handful of other health issues. The CD is from underlying stress. I don't always feel stressed. I'm a very positive and upbeat person but my body reacts to stress in the form of full body paralysis, difficulty walking and talking. @hrachal Wow! But yeah nobody has mentioned anything like that to me but they have said that my seizures are brought on by stress. And all but one of my blackouts has happened during stressful times. I do take seizure meds but they sure don't keep the black outs from happening. But i sure wish that they did.

@hrachal I don't have any paralysis i just have other difficulties either right before a seizure or right after. And i have what they call Petit Mal Seizures along with a million n one it seams like health issues. @jmwelker5 yeah! Mine are non-epileptic also brought on by stress and that was diagnosed while i was in the EMU back in May of this year. Which is where my profile was taken. And i too take an Anti Seizure Med. 600 mg in the am and 600 mg in the pm. My Neurologist even has mentioned brain surgery but if u ask me and i may sound wrong to some but: i will live with and deal with the seizures even if it means i will never ever

@midnightsiren yeah! I have them on and off again and sometimes i will go through a series of having them and then a series of not having them and then all over again. It drives me insane. And i hate it for the time being that i cannot get drivers license back until i go 6 months without one. But that's ok cause i don't always know when i am going to have one. I'd rather not be on the road and have one and kill myself or take anyone elses life.

But yeah they are scary. Mine are only Petit Mal but that's enough. My dad had Grand Mal and those are so much worse and scarier. But anyway God Bless both your hearts and sending Prayers and hugs your way. I hope deep down that some how some way they find what created the seizure so at least u might know how to prevent it it they are preventable and also that it never happens again. But KIT!!! ☺

@harleysshopping I was wondering if it might be hereditary. My husband's brother also has seizures and can't drive, but he claims his is from child abuse he suffered when they were little from their step rather beating him up. So hoping it doesn't happen again! They said maybe a virus caused it, but that leaves me scared and freaked out everytime he gets a cold now! And getting him through any more testing is a nightmare, because he's just a baby still.

@midnightsiren Thank You so much! And yeah it is super hard not being able to get places and in the small town that i live in its not always easy to get a Taxi. All my dr's are in Gainesville, Fl but thank god my health insurance pays for my transportation to those. Well i have a Dr in Jax and St. Augustine to see for a car accident that i was in as a passenger in another vehicle

That my insurance covers my rides for also and i have a dr here where i live i only see now monthly for Pt that i can walk too. Its sometimes painful to make that walk but i gotta do what i gotta do. My fiance works 7 days a wk so he can't take me and i really wouldn't expect him too. (I was in the car accident with his dad.)

@harleysshopping That is good about the insurance covering the rides at least! We've only got one car and my husband has to get to work every day. He crashed his van several months ago. So it is hard getting places and working out schedules for his off days! I'm going to be going for tonight, have a good night! :)
