I have allergies, so I have learned to ask these following questions before buying items on here. Smoke-free? Perfume-free? Where are they kept? Any musty smell or stains? I hope that I don't offend. I bought a "new" dog bed recently, & it smelled of cigarettes. A pair of slippers smelled like a musty basement. A pair of pants wreaked of perfume.
