Best light? Morning or outside in natural light! How to model things that don't fit? I'm not saying my method is the best, but I just hang them up on hangers, then if someone needs something modeled, I do it. If the item doesn't fit anymore, I just tell them! You can also find stock photos online sometimes which show a model wearing it.

Definitely add things as you go! New items keep people coming back to see what's new in your closet, and once they are there, it reminds them of things they wanted to buy last time :)

Why hello! So what do you think about Poshmark so far? Looks like you are already figuring it out! We were all new once, so don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have. A couple tips for you, 1). to get ahold of a user, make sure to tag us in your post with the @ symbol, followed by username. 2). PM is very socially based. Follow users and get followers back! Those followers will see and share your listings. Also, sharing your listings often = sales!

Not a dumb question at all! Under every listing (right next to the place you clicked to leave a comment) is a button that says 'share.' Share whatever you like from their closet, or most people keep their favorite things at the top so share a few off the top.

So share your own listings every day or multiple times a day as time allows, then share other people's. You're basically saying "I checked out your closet and advertised for you, now please return the favor!" 😊

Cruise through my closet to see how I did it. I have a fave closets posting that I add people to in the comments. I also use Pinterest for that purpose and for the folks I share closets with regularly. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.

I'm sharing sharing sharing but only one sale....I was told to join groups that give u more eposure but I have MD and am in and out of the hosp...was told other group members would blackball you for not keeping your end up...which I understand but makes me hesitant. :( working on finding a maniquin!! Joining share groups is a great way to get your closet exposure. You should definitely join a few. If you can't share, tell your group or founder that you're not available. Most groups have conversation pages where you can leave this type of info. Asking questions on these pages is a great way to hear from the people involved. Also, many share groups have sign up sheets everyday. If you don't sign up for a particular day you're not required to share. Hope this helps!

@mariabessem thank you! God is the only thing keeping me going...if I remember right ur dtr is struggling as well? Posh has been great since I can't get out and really shop, but dangerous too lol!!! If u ever need anything let me know, I'll always be a repeat customer as long as my husband doesn't give me the stop sign haha!! I've only sold one thing....does my closet look bad? Honestly? Good to hear back from you. I have a knack for good deals and I honestly try to pass that in to the buyer. Tips for your closet: join parties. Share host picks. They always share back. Also search items similar to yours and in the same size. Then add people whom have ' liked' that item. My secret/ shhh just for you ok. When you run across a huge posher like 100k followers. Go on their sales sheet and add everyone whom is a buyer. Good luck. I will share your stuff now.

I have three leather Worth jackets (sz 6 snd 8)....They're more expensive than etcetera tho so not sure if people would want to pay (I wouldn't be un reasonable but it's not a name brand like Prada or gucci, that people love to buy for the name!) @ptl8 I never really knew either but a fellow Posher told me to search the item to see if there is anything like it or close for sale and that does help If you can't find it here then Google it to see if anybody has it on Ebay or somewhere else Unfortunately if you really want to sell it you have to give it a good price But people will make offers and you can decide then or you can even lower it after awhile Better to start a little high but not too are my thoughts

@gizzysmom67 wow you're really up there!! I Hate The cold too! We just moved from ok when all it does is get really windy and cold then dump 5in of ice! Then it's 100+ in summer with no rain,.like an oven, everything turns dead if it wasn't pulled up by a tornadoe! So funny the news people here have the most cushy jobs I've seen. Lol!!! Do miss sweaters tho :(

I always thought it was so crazy that she had these 2 diseases together. I'd be interested in hearing about your form of MD, because of my background I like learning as much as I can about all sorts of health related things. Anyhow I love your closet! Knowing what u have is chronic, incurable and will never go away or get better is the hardest I think. But God gives me the grace each day. ..and it certainly does make u keep things in perspective! Hi Amy...how are you feeling? I hope its not anything too serious, although you are in the hospital!! Ugh! Charity event was awesome!!! We threw a Christmas party for 15 "basically" homeless children...they are all living in a few rooms at an extended stay motel...not sure what the circumstances are...but these kids were AWESOME!!! They had a blast, we had TONS of stuff donated to them, and it was a great night! I feel so lucky to have been a part of it!

I've been active only 2, and I was always told share share share, join lots of groups, etc. To be honest, I had no idea it would be SO much work and time consuming. Now I enjoy it, but finally had to step back, some women get sooooo involved it seems like a sorority. ..and they're spending huge blocks of time dedicated to all this. ..

...I finally had to decide that I would just do what I had time for that day. I have muscular dystrophy so some days I can't do anything, then tonight since I've been gone have been trying to catch up for 4 hours now. ..a little crazy for me, although a lot of the great women on hete would kill me for saying, it top much unless you stew doing this to make a living or are that bored, or have large amts of time. ...finally figuring out, is to just do what you can or want. I think it's good to keep your closet updated and active, but there will just be some days you can't even log on, others u can spend awhile. My husband hates it, says he doesn't care how much I make if I just stay on my phone all. The.time. lol. ..so that's what I've started doing, being more relaxed about it, because it can really get u sucked in.

...that's prob the reason I haven't joined any groups yet, because your obligated, and I'm not ready for that level of commitment yet. I have met some really great people on hete, and it's great when u sell! !! @ptl8 That helps ALOT. I appreciate your being so real and honest about it. I thought there was something wrong work me because I couldn't keep up. I work full time as a therapist so just don't have the luxury of spending hours a day checking, sharing, following, etc. I have also met some great people here.

@miriamburns29 oh hey, btw, to keep from getting blocked, they don't allow baby, kids or men's clothes (idk why)....but some people won't follow u and then block ur closet when they see them. @ptl8 So it's a rare type of MD you have the gene for? Doesn't show until several decades ? So sorry but I guess it's better than not knowing. (Idk-they sometimes wonder if I have CNS vasculitis or MS, but fall back on lupus with CNS lupus) they are treated quite differently. Is there any treatment for yours? I don't mean to be nosy-guess the MD is coming out!

@ptl8 Ugh, illnesses (particular misunderstood ones) can be so hard on families. I can't imagine the challenges you're dealing with with your son let alone yourself and the stress that must put on your marriage. But yes, God is completely capable and will help you through. You know, when I was too sick to work I missed work. Now that I'm back to full time work, I wish I had a reason to pull back a bit. Grass is always greener...

Hi. My husband went to Mayo Clinic (Rochester) several years ago with a very rare diagnoses. Mayo Clinic is the best in the world (literally) for diagnoses and hopefully for treatment options (research if needed). So hang in there. Can I ask if you already knew what was going on with him or did Mayo Clinic figure that out? I am asking because I have been battling what doctors think is Lyme but after 3 years there is no real answers and I was curious about Mayo Clinic before and if you found it truly helpful, dirty I know it’s totally not a posh question lol

@sammirose1 Hi. My husband was previously diagnosed. He had a rare blood disorder. But there were no treatments. Mayo confirmed the diagnosis and he received an investigational drug for 6 months. My husband underwent a stem cell transplant from his sister 13 years ago and is doing well. Continue to have hope , it is really important to have a good attitude. Many blessings to you. I'm 12 yrs into my illness, finally got to Mayo after 9 and was diagnosed with a rare form of MD...80 I think....but I didnt have any of the 5 mutations, so it took my dr 3 more yrs, and last yr was able to tell me what it is....so pt 1/1...lol, dont like being no 1 now hahaha....now I have an overlapping autoimmune or connective disease. They arent getting along well...but i know they're the best!!!! Super ant ur hubby💕💕💕

My Mom was diagnosed with a rare form of MD a few years ago. The diagnosis came when she was in her mid-late 60s. She will be 72 in June. It seems to be having the most effect on her lungs. She can still stand and walk, but she does get winded pretty quickly, so she uses a wheelchair most of the time when she goes out. Sending good wishes to you. Aaron
