Hi! I'm Amy. Thanks for stopping by! I’m an artist who makes pottery and ceramic jewelry. Sometimes I paint paintings too! I live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. I’m a beach girl and an old hippie. I love Free People and boho style clothes. I have an etsy shop too. It’s called “Surly.” Short for Surlyramics. Customer service is important to me so I do my best to steam and carefully pack every item I sell and I ship as fast as possible. l0nestargirl Hello Amy, fellow posher! Love your closet- I’ve been a posher since 2017. As we approach darker days (I always take photos of my items in natural light) I’m considering getting a light kit. Looks like you might use one. Any words of advice in selecting a light kit? Appreciate your time in advance ✨

surlyraven @l0nestargirl I have two floodlights with daylight bulbs. You need to pay attention to the color and evenness of your light coming in. You don’t want yellow light that will change the color of the clothes. Then, you set your light up as if you are photographing a portrait. Two sidelights and a backlight, if you are using a bodice. Or two sidelights and sometimes a fill light for walls. Also, Lightroom the app is great for color adjustment if your camera messes anything up.
