giveapaintbrush @authenticdisney Sure...I use art print bags that are heavier weight than bread bags and resealable. I wrap item in tissue made without bleeding dye, and try to coordinate matching ribbon and a hand written card...hope that helps!

sargebill @giveapaintbrush Oh look, my collection has grown huge, my Cavalry wall , ranges from 1842 - post Vietnam, incl some of my ancestor's uniforms, hats etc.... I started at 5 y/o, surplus stores, flea mkts, online, relatives, and it just grew ! I set up displays in vintage uniform , after a while wool itches, lol, I got a DNA kit, sent it in and wow, the family, both sides, all wars from 1066 Normandy to me

sargebill @giveapaintbrush I can be a bore talking about that, lol I even have original sewing kits issued to troops, amazing how strong the threads are to date and you would think material dating back to the 1700's would be very weak and tattered, not if kept preserved, my cedar trunks are full, flags, great coats, blankets, uniforms, hats/bear skin busbees etc...

sargebill @giveapaintbrush Good morning, I was on the news, everyone came up to me saying "you're the guy w/ the museum", I even found things thrown away, original WWll photos, U.S. Enlisted Man's foot locker w/ tray dated 1942, 2 Officer's foot lockers, battlefield maps, drawings by LTC. Warren Ducote, Field Art'y. , The reporter went ape when he saw my collection, I was in late Vietnam Cavalry uniform 1st U.S. Cav.

sargebill @giveapaintbrush I used to drive around town in my 1943 Gun jeep wearing my uniforms, lol, the kids loved it, parades, Vets Day, etc... No, nothing's photographed professionally, I have to get in War room no. 1 and reorganize it, the dusting alone is an entire day, make more shelves, I "antique" the wood, scarring it, scorching it, dents, then a dark stain and more rough work.

jcpetites I see you are from Miami Beach. I was born at Mt. Sinai Hospital (years ago) and I attended school at the Ascher building on the property. From 1989 to 1996 I worked at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the hospital. Small world !!! I am now in Central Florida.
