I'm sorry that you weren't 100 % pleased with the sweater. I hadn't noticed any perfume smell and I don't even own a bottle of perfume, I use essential oils so not sure where the odor came from. Hopefully it will disipate in fresh air. If I had noticed it I would have done that for you.

I think I solved the mystery, not that it will help you, but I was curious. The sweater was hanging in a closet near a group of vintage 80 's wool blazers that I purchased from an estate sale and haven't gotten around to having them dry cleaned. One of them smells very perfumed. I'm sorry I wasn't more vigilant. Lesson learned.
