dglasford Hi Angela, I'm sorry that you thought the barette wasn't clean. It is brand new. It is supposed to look like that...it is oxidized metal with a patina. All of the pieces in this designer's line are like that.

dglasford Google sibilia and you'll see what the other pieces look like. I take great pride in providing quality items. I would never sell dirty merchandise. I have another barette for sale and it looks just like yours. It too, has some brown spots where they fired the raw metal to create a patina.
