angierogero @kshoopla I’m a bit confused about how the shipping works. How does the flat rate cover any item regardless of weight/size/etc?

happyraven @angierogero Poshmark has a contract with the post office to cover any weight up to 5 pounds. If it’s over that, the seller has to pay extra and request a special label. You can ship items in any box, including flat rate boxes!

happyraven @angierogero No worries! After a buyer purchases an item, you’re then ready to print the shipping label. Go into “My Sales” in your account and click on the item. Near the bottom of the screen, you’ll see “Need New Label”, and from there you can make the selection for excess weight.

angierogero @kshoopla ok I’m confused. Can I sell the Cartier perfume I just listed or can I not? The rules are confusing me; I see other perfume for sale but can I sell it or not?? Please help clear things up for this newbie!

happyraven @angierogero It is confusing. The Poshmark list of prohibited items includes perfume since it can’t be shipped via USPS with the label they provide. You may see others selling perfume if Poshmark hasn’t caught it and/or someone hasn’t reported it as prohibited. :-)

angierogero @kshoopla why do I feel I’m wasting my time already? Trying to find a platform to move to from one that’s been one headache after another, and now perhaps this isn’t it after all... sigh. I’ll figure it out later because tomorrow is another work day. Any advice is appreciated if I’m not wasting your time as well. Siiiigh, sorry!

happyraven @angierogero I understand! Liquids are one of the few things they prohibit. Technically I think they also include creams, but I have lotion for sale. I figure I’ll just let them remove it in case I’m misinterpreting something. And I sell more than on E*ay since people like to buy multiple things from one person’s closet to save money. The more things you list the better! feel free to keep reaching out with questions!
