amqueberg @loridatl Hi! No I don’t use any background clearing or editing apps on my pics. Over a year I took them with iPhone 6+, bought 3 soft box lights. Still wasn’t happy because phone was dimming the pics and still had shadows. August I bought Canon Rebel T6i, moved lights further back, spent hours playing with camera settings to come up with one that works for my lighting. Spent couple months this fall retaking pictures of over 700 items!

marndog7 You have a great closet! I'm pretty new at this but I've been selling on eBay for a long time. I have been marking my items sold if I sell them on eBay but I leave them on Poshmark to show that I sold them. Do you think that's a good idea? Also I was wondering how you get your white background for your listings. Looks great! Thank you, Marna

amqueberg @marndog7 Hi and thanks! I’ve only been selling on eBay for a little over 2 years, so I’m fairly new. If I sell the item on eBay, I’ve just been deleting it on Poshmark so I know at a glance that I actually sold it on Poshmark & don’t have all the clutter. I know people do it both ways. If you look up at the other comments on this post, I talk about it. I use a Canon Rebel T6i instead of iPhone.

amqueberg My pictures were crap with iPhone no matter how hard I tried. I edit the photos, if needed, on the desktop version of eBay and use the “adjust brightness and contrast” option to really whiten background. I struggled for 2 years with pictures and with a ton of research and different camera settings, soft box lights then finally learning and using eBay photo editor and I’m finally happy!

marndog7 Hi, I really appreciate you getting back to me! I tried using the contrast and brightness feature on ebay, but it only brightens and sharpens the item. I'm not able to get a totally white background like you have. I shoot my pictures in front of a screen, not a white backdrop. I was hoping there was a way to shoot the item and then just totally white out the background, since I am limited in space and utilizing back drops. Any suggestions? Thank you!

amqueberg @marndog7 I don’t know about a white out app. I take pics with homemade back drop, then use eBays brightness contrast (option that looks like a sun/flower...and it’s only available on the computer not phone) I adjust it. For me, usually set them at the same numbers. If white background looks grey, it brightens it right up. Watched YouTube couple months ago on how to fix crappy pics with it and was amazed! Last fall I retook pics of over 700 items with new camera and white background...not fun!

rdaman01 Hi Ann, I'm Randy and I bought a pair of Levi's from you that are marked as a 29 waist and a 32 length but after receiving the item I have to assume that they are miss marked from the manufacturer and they are way to big for me. I am wondering if you would be so kind as to help me recover from this conundrum? amqueberg @rdaman01 Hi, I know in my photos I had the measurements and they measured a 31” waist, maybe that’s due to them being loose fit and not washed yet? But if you’re willing to pay shipping for the return, you can send them back. I’ve not dealt with a return on here, so not sure of the process.

amqueberg @dianelarp Hi, I replied to your question on my listing earlier that you must not have seen...but I go to a website called Sizely that I pay a monthly fee for. Sizely has different clothing templates that you take your clothing measurements, enter them into template. I've used it for quite awhile now and I love it.
