deblott Hi Anna, It’s Deb Lott - you just purchased my Garnet Hill leather belt and I was concerned to see via your review that you were not happy with it. If you put leather out in the sun (not just outside but in the sun) for a couple/few hours it will freshen most smells that come from being stored. Should that not take care of the “thrift store” smell you noted, I’d be happy to accept the item back and return your money as I strive for all my customers to be very happy with their purchases :)
