vintagepnw @thebabythrifter I still ask myself that question to this day, and I’ve been doing it for four years now. Lol 😭 The upside is that it works for both my husband and I schedule. We don’t have to use childcare. I have a 2 year old and a 8 month old. It’s a really fun age gap, they are really starting to interact and play with each other I love it.

vintagepnw @thebabythrifter It was definitely a smoother transition not having to use daycare. I’m hoping we can avoid it as long as possible. Nights are rough sometimes, but I like the systems we have going now. Maternity leave goes by so fast, I hated to go back to work, and wasn’t sure if I was going to remember how to do my job after three months off. Lol 😂

thebabythrifter @vintagepnw I’ve been on leave 3.5 months now 😁 Unpaid leave that is 😫 I don’t know how women go back to work before their little ones are sleeping through the night. Especially nurses because we need our rest to properly do our jobs and avoid errors. I’m hoping to stay on leave till she’s 6 months ❤️

vintagepnw @thebabythrifter That’s really nice that you will be able to take 6 months off. 🙌 Unfortunately where I work FMLA only covers you for 12 weeks. I did get paid for that entire time though as I had quite a bit of PTO saved up also. For a lot of people 12 weeks may seem like a long time but when you’re caring for a new baby those weeks just fly by. I was really sad when I had to go back. 😭 My baby is still not sleeping though the night and she is 8 months old. 😫
