I’m sorry you were not totally pleased with your purchase. The sweater was brand new, never worn. I had just removed the tags. The sweater could not have smelled like cigarettes because no one in my family smokes and I do not allow smoking in my house.

Could someone have gotten a hold of it before you? It should have been wrapped in red tissue paper with a burlap ribbon and a red crocheted flower on it and a thank you note. I also put in extra paper to keep it from moving so it would look nice when you opened it. Again, I have no idea where a cigarette smell would have come from.

@lucindamaira It was wrapped very well and looked lovely, I did a bit of digging and there was a large house fire fairly close to the post office it went to (5 mins walking) so that is likely where the smell came from. I took it to the cleaner and they are confident the smell will out. I am not sure how to adjust the rating. But if not for the smell you would have got 5 stars. I am going to look into editing it as I don't think anything you did was responsible for the smoke smell.

@stylishnancy It is at a neighbors house, they are no. 11, and sometimes mail ends up there. They plan to drop it off tomorrow.
