wynwench @missmoly hello! I got 3 responses on my 3 purses today. each buyer wants to send me a check in the mail. one buyer has already convinced me it is a fraud. doesn't poshmark collect the money. one person said she would pay me $50 to hold the purse and mark it nfs. I am scared and I want to pull out. please help

I have received 3 messages from 3 buyers on 3 of my purses. all buyers wanted my address to send me a certified cheque. one buyer is giving me an additional $50 to hold the purse and mark it nfs. 1 buyer is a fraud. I gave him my address, I am not happy. since all 3 buyers want to send me chequesbi thought this was the way poshmark worked. I am so confused, scared and disappointed. please help

brenday995 @wynwench nope, don’t ever give out your email or address, etc. buying off PM is prohibited. Unfortunately, these people are scammers and want to bilk you out of either the item, or $$. Anytime someone says hold something or they want to wait for a check, just ignore it. Report & Block that user. Unfortunately they will open another account under another name, etc.

brenday995 @wynwench this happened to me when I first started here. It’s unsettling & a shame some try & ruin it for others. The check thing is a very old scam. They send the check and by the time the bank tells you it’s bad, it’s too late. I’m so sorry this happened to you. Please don’t judge PM by these few criminals. They’re on all sites. Just only sell through PM because then you’re protected. To block them go on their page and at the top where the little lines are you can report them & block.

missmoly NEVER NEVER send anyone your address or take payment. They are scamming you. If anyone wants to buy something, they must use Poshmark. Poshmark pays you once your item is accepted buy the buyer.

brenday995 @wynwench share you items several times a day with your followers. That’s how you get legitimate PM sales. Share with parties that your items apply to. Every couple days there is a party with just bags. That’s how you get your items out there to be considered. There are millions of people and items on here. Follow everyone and share their stuff and they will share yours with their followers. The share button is the one with two arrows. Keep in touch and feel free to reach out anytime. 😍

brenday995 @wynwench I have reported a couple of your scammers. I wasn’t sure if I could do it but I can and did. If you have any items on hold or “not for sale” for these people take the hold off & go ahead & sell. I don’t know how they find the new sellers, but they do. Soooo frustrating! I’m so sorry.

wynwench Brenda! I have a few questions. so far I sold 1 pair of gloves. after price reduction;poshmarks fee and discounted shipping I made a whopping $7.09 . I checked my items with other listing comps my prices are lower. I have a lot of followers. I have had a few likes. offering my likes a 10% discount plus fee and discounted shipping means I am giving stuff away. I have no idea what these parties are all about and are parties the only way you can sell stuff?
