thevarietytitan @maddlestone Hello! I could use a good mentor to be honest. I started this poshmark account to help my mother out. Rheumatoid arthritis is forcing my mother into early retirement from her nursing career. I want to help her out as much as possible. She was a shopaholic and now she wants to sell her older clothing items. I don't know what I am doing but I want help her anyway that I can. Do you have any advice for me? Once again, thank you

maddlestone @thevarietytitan Here are a few tips. Success with this app is about (1) building a critical mass of Followers. Look for Poshers who have 10,000+ Followers (like me) and Follow them, plus Follow their Followers, and you will be surprised at how quickly you gain an audience!

maddlestone If you listed an item today and Shared it to your Followers, only 77 people have the opportunity to see the item. If I Shared your item, 150,000 may see it as that is how many Followers I have. Make sense?

maddlestone @thevarietytitan (2) Success is about getting your items seen by as many people as possible. To do this, make sure you Share, Share, Share. I try to Share 300+ other people’s items a day (usually over a cup of coffee in the a.m.). About 1/3 of them will share your stuff in return so your stuff is being seen you your Followers AS WELL AS their Followers. Also, be sure to share your own closet several times a day. Both these actions get your stuff more visible.

maddlestone So, my recommendation is to try to Follow 1,000 people a day as well as Share your own closet as well as other people’s stuff once you have some items for sale in your closet. Make sense? Don’t rush things. 20-30 mins a day in this app is a good balance. Sales will start slow.

maddlestone @thevarietytitan Not silly at all. You can only share items individually and when you share something in your closet, it moves to the top of you closet. So, to keep things in order, start at the bottom and share from the bottom of your closet. Click the symbol on the bottom right of the item and then To My Followers

maddlestone When something sells, it will have a Sold sticker on it. just Share from the bottom of the closet and skip the sold item. Get out of the closet and then go back in and all the sold items will be at the bottom. Share the items in your closet several times a day
