He wanted to be on the East Coast to be closer to his family and I was just fine with that!!! I have been here now for 32 years!!! I met him at Riverside park playing football with his Air Force buddies in the spring of 1986!!!! A month before I graduated from Southeast High School (the old one on Edgemoor).

babydoe1 @spazzy86 Lol oh wow!! I was wondering if you had a military background! I've lived on the West Coast and East Coast. Married a Marine after high school (San Diego, CA) AZ, MD, NC followed. Moved to KS because my family all relocated here from Denver. I'm sure you're sorry for me about the Marine Corps gig as much as I am about you and the Chairforce lol! I did not like the east coast. we were on an army base, Fort Meade in Laurel, MD for 2 years, hated it!

spazzy86 @babydoe1 Wow! I currently live in Suitland, a mile west of Joint Andrews Air Force Base! I can walk to the main gate!!! My husband at the time was stationed there! Laurel is about 30-35 minutes away from me! I love it here!!! I’m sorry that you didn’t have a good experience. My family is in Wichita still. I will always come to visit but I love living a mile east of the Nation’s capital! I love the hustle and bustle of the busy city!!!!

Great life experiences being a Marine wife and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Not many women can say that they've been through or got though what you and I have been, seen & done.

That the first time I heard it being called that!!!! I did know that the marines were some tough guys! My first cousin was a marine and was stationed in Okinawa with us. I can’t remember what the name of his camp was.

Still not sure if "Whisper Alley" exists there but they (Marines) told me stories. These FOOLS also convinced me to go to snipe hunting with them. Yeah, I fell for it.

spazzy86 @babydoe1 I have not heard of “Whisper Alley” in Okinawa. That was tough having to leave friends as a teenager!! The good thing about that is that you have friends all over the country!!!! It was tough when I left Okinawa as an adult and left friends there that I still have been out of touch with (new numbers and address) and hope to some how be in touch with again!!!
