@mhopkin4 Wow!! My Mother went to Howard Univ in D.C. I am a rising Senior Math major on a PreMed track. My Mom used to make me sit for hours with teachers and tutors after school. Because she was weak in math she wanted to make sure I was strong. Ironically the majority of my tutors and teachers were women.

That intrigued me and gave me the confidence to do math. This semester I took Calculus 2 and it started as a struggle. My Mom helped me find a tutor at Georgia Tech, here in Atlanta, who as it turns out is another female - really strong in Math. She's majoring in Biomedical engineering. My average entering the Calc2 final was an A and because of that I was exempt from taking the Final.
