Hey! I know we can necessarily message through Poshmark, I saw you said OBO, what is your honest minimum in regards to the dress? I have my husbands marine ball in November and trying to prepare now since red strangely isnt easy to find around November. As well as needing time for alterations etc.

Hey! Thank you for your patience with all of the questions! She actually responded and asked if there was crinoline netting underneath the dress? && how many layers is the dress? Would you be able to email or text a picture of that?

Glad to hear from you 😊 I need a better picture of the side seams in the gown to see if they are straight seams, it looks like the back seams are curved? Ask her how much it was taken in and if they cut the seams on the inside? Heming it won’t be to bad front or back hard to believe she wore 5 ½” heels with that gown since most gowns are made to fit 5’9-5’10

wn since most gowns are made to fit 5’9-5’10 with no shoes on that would have made her 6’2” with shoes on, pretty tall? So it would have to be made 4” shorter, if her measurements are correct? Just guessing without actually seeing the gown you will probably be looking at around $200.00 to alter.See if you can also get inside pictures of the bodice and inside side seams were it was take in. and also a picture of the hem.

@rosieslocum @rosieslocum sorry just saw your comments! Yes, that is how long the dress is (I was almost 6’2” with heels- and I still wasn’t the tallest one there! haha). The dress is at my moms house so I can take pictures of the above that your seamstress asked when I go there this weekend. I do believe there is a netting layer in the bottom part of the dress to give it that volume

I finally figured out my actual account to use on the computer, Thank you for everything! Im so excited and hope the ball will not be cancelled given the pandemic currently, its in November! Hey Asha, I received my order and I thought being a size 4 with minor alterations I'd need to take it in quite a bit....but I cant even get the dress over my thighs/hips, the alterations were taken in alot and the material was removed so its not able to be altered back out enough for it to even try to fit.

I wont over my head, everything from the waist up fits, its the hip/thighs that have zero space.. I feel the material and am going to the seamstress first thing in the morning to see if theres some way to let it out even a little, I felt a bit of extra fabric in the interior outer layer of the dress. Sorry, I had a moment of meltdown

@classypearls1 hello, Oh my goodness I’m sorry, I truly am a size 4 and my measurements are as above! Maybe because I’m taller it hit me differently? I’m glad it looks like it can be brought out, did the seamstress say she could do it?

@avad727 she ended up needing to cancel our appointment (we had a hurricane hitting us, that turned into a tropical storm) I have hopes that it'll all work out, honestly everywhere else we match aside from height so it does need to be hemmed and the thigh/lower hip portion but the extra material that was taken in is still there and I believe it should work out! it looks so stunning, I do love it and once its over that lower portion lol its perfect fit wise.
