ashleysea206 @regitn no problem. I know some people are trying to be kind and helpful! And what sucks is some of the companies definitely ripped people off before states started making laws about it. I’m a nurse and it’s sad for me to see people selling medical grade masks that are desperately needed for hundreds of dollars. You should see if any local hospitals or clinics can buy them from you, if they’re unopened, to at least make the retail value back.

shop_at_home @agilbert1 Thank you. She blocked us & threatened litigation. One 3m mask doesn’t cost $25. A box of 20, possibly. We don’t know her health status. Holding it with a food service glove, negates sterility, as she exposes it to room air and lacks aseptic technique. Warning about price gouging & laws enacted against sellers was to protect her. If you have receipts, either karma or charitable donations on next year’s tax return can probably be utilized if you donate to your local hospital.

ashleysea206 @brooknoel I recently saw that they added “no medical grade” products to their Covid blog. Most of the people on here are buying cheap boxes from wholesale sites and selling small bundles in ziplock bags for 10x their retail or making false medical claims. It’s really unfortunate that people are taking advantage of this situation. Sorry if I came across as rude, but I’m a nurse and it’s pretty upsetting to see people doing it. Some of the posts I’ve seen are outright dangerous.

brooknoel @agilbert1 I totally get why that would be upsetting. I actually have a lot because I own a restaurant near the epi-center, about 6o miles from NYC... A NYC vacation suburb, we were preparing early March for the hit and these were shipped through one of our restaurant distributors.

brooknoel @agilbert1 We thought we would need them for staff and customers and then were shutdown by mandate. We still deliver every day for free to in need families and first responders, but there are only a few of us delivering so was trying to sell some to keep an employee. It’s hard to work everyday for free and come home to a staff in distress. Crazy times. Stay safe and well.

ashleysea206 @chaleymom I doubt Poshmark removed it though. They take FOREVER to do it and most of the time they just remove the listing and not the accounts. I think the scammers delete it themselves when someone comments on it and then immediately relist. It’s so out of control how many scammers there are!

Some of these “ambassadors” continue to do it because they know there are no consequences. The scam accounts are well beyond the point of a “moderation team.” This “team” is their answer every time I question the security on this app. “Our moderation team is working on it.”

ashleysea206 @harv4 check out the rest of the closet. They make dozens of these accounts every day. They have tons of designer bags and belts for $5. That would be $2? profit for them. Even replicas cost more than that so they would be losing money. And these accounts get removed within a few days for selling counterfeits regardless, so they won’t send anything. I’m not sure what this latest scam is about but I’m guessing to get peoples info from shipping label.

ashleysea206 @harv4 you can report their account I would also email posh. You will get your money back. But I would be careful of any email, phone scams. I’m sure you’re aware, but don’t ever send money off the site. And don’t send any info or passwords to posh unless you KNOW it’s them. I’ve seen quite a lot of long time accounts now suddenly selling stuff like this and I’m wondering if accounts are getting hacked.

ashleysea206 @andreasclosethi it’s truly insane that Poshmark won’t prevent brand new accounts from listing dozens of designer listings for under $500. Most of those brands don’t sell anything below $500. That should be automatically flagged and reviewed before sales can be made.

ashleysea206 @candy031 none of the microchipped bags I’ve purchased (directly from Chanel) in the last year came with authenticity cards. The point I was trying to make was not all bags come with authenticity cards. And even ones that do can be easily duplicated. That seller was clearly a scammer.

ashleysea206 @kk_winter I’m not sure what Poshmarks current policy is… but previously if they couldn’t determine authenticity they would send it back to the seller. But if it’s an obvious counterfeit they will dispose of it. I’d look up the current policy because the Chanel definitely won’t pass.

ashleysea206 @kk_winter generally the boutiques won’t authenticate. There a few online authentication services like Entrupy or legit grails websites. They charge a fee though.

pinktenaj Hi Ashley, I saw you commented under a Dyson…good for you! I would but they’ve all blocked me. These scams are out of control, selling multiples in their closet, the same pics are in so many closets. I spoke with women who purchased and they got cheap knockoffs with fraudulent serial numbers. Thanks for spreading the word and maybe saving someone from getting ripped off. I report them daily and some have actually been shut down, then another pops up😡

They have been doing the same scam with Chrome Hearts, Loewe, David Yurman etc. And don’t get me started on the closets full of fake designer bags and jewelry. Poshmark is happily taking their cut and pretending there isn’t a problem.

ashleysea206 @staga it was an account that sends hundreds of spam messages requesting info off the app. They will send you a link or an email that makes it seem like it's from posh... asking you to verify your account info. They can scam you in multiple ways depending on what info you give them. But mostly, they are taking money from people that don't know how to use the app. They target new accounts and high $$ items.

ashleysea206 @gidget368s thank you! she's a chihuahua, but I wouldn't be surprised if part minpin. Yeah, that seller is a scammer. None of the photos belong to him. When people ask for additional photos, he says he can't take them because the products are coming from a warehouse. Some of them are the exact photos that other scam accounts have used. And everything over $500 has been canceled or returned.

ngillani Hi Ashley, I know the bag is fake. I knew as soon as the piece of garbage arrived at my house. The leather is pleather or bad leather. The hardware is bad. I have friends who have genuine from Chanel from the Chanel store. I even called the Chanel store and sent pics just in case with my fingers crossed. I was so disappointed. I need to change my positive review on the seller’s page immediately. That purse is useless. Can’t be repaired. Fake. Old. I got ripped off.
