mistygidget Because on Amazon they get the price they list it at. On Poshmark, we have to price higher to account for offers to us or from us. Sellers NEVER get the price they list at here. It is always 20-40% or more less than the price we list at. Also, there is the matter of this being an oversized item requiring the seller to pay an extra $16.00 in shipping charges out of their earnings. So, taking all of that into account the difference comes out to about $2.00 to $5.00. Thanks for the question.

mistygidget Also, sellers here pay a 20% fee to Poshmark on earnings. Hoping this gives you a clearer understanding of the differences between these two websites. If only we could just list an item at the proper price here, but Poshmark allows negotiating, offering, and purchase prices much lower than the prices we list at. thank you.

mistygidget So, you can purchase on Amazon at the seemingly lower price, or negoitate, offer and haggle on Poshmark and wind up paying almost exactly the same price. Two different platforms, two different ways to purchase. It's always the buyers choice as to which way to go. Amazon seems like the better choice for you.

mistygidget Oh, I see now! You just joined Poshmark this month. That explains why you don't know about the negotiating, offers and haggling over prices here. lol. On amazon, they set their price and sell at that price. That's not how it works here. We price high because Poshmark allows offers, negotiating and haggling. It's a much more involved process here...lol...you'll find that out. And if you ever try to sell here, you'll definitely find out that you had better price high to allow for offers.

mistygidget It's also considered against Posh etiquette to comment on a seller's listing about their pricing. But you're new, you have lots to learn. Good Luck! Hope this info clears things up for you, and I hope you don't do this to another seller.
