audrynlovinger @clarissaweed Hi! I did get it and have been trying to air the cigarette smoke smell out of it. 😕 I’m not sure what else to try but was hoping to figure it out so I didn’t have to ask about a return. Sadly, I can’t really wear it as is.

clarissaweed @audrynlovinger you can wash it , Dry clean ? I apologize about the smoke , I really don’t want you to return it though. Once you wash it ( I always wash used items anyways when I get them esp w covid ) not saying I have covid but you never know .. I’m just saying , I’m pretty sure it’ll come out once it’s washed /dry cleaned . I know it may be inconvenient to dry clean it but you probably were going to anyway . I wish there was a way I could compensate u

clarissaweed And not to be rude but it didn’t say it came from a smoke free home.. like all you have to do is wash it.. I apologize for not washing it before shipping . It has been hanging in my moms closet for years . And we do smoke . But I am sure the smell will come out once washed . Febreeze May help in the meantime or leave it in your backyard to air out?

audrynlovinger @clarissaweed It is suede. You can’t just wash it. It’s been aired out for three days and no change. I’ll have to pay additional for dry-cleaning and hope it works. I know it didn’t say smoke-free home but this is the first time I’ve received something that smells like cigarettes. In the future you should explicitly disclose that it is a smoking home. $70 is just a lot to spend on a bad-smelling coat that may or may not be salvageable.

clarissaweed @audrynlovinger if you dry clean it ,rest assure it will not smell any more, yes it may be inconvenient to take it to dry cleaners & I apologize again but it needed dry cleaning anyway, & In my bio it says I’m a smoker..I will send you the money to dry clean it if you want..I had my coat cleaned in winter it was only $12 & the coat I actually sold to you for $60.& I only got $45 (well nothing yet) It was originally posted for $100 & I put it on sale.& gave discount shipping

clarissaweed @audrynlovinger do you like the coat ? Is it just the smell ? Please try to dry clean it.. I mean I always wash my clothes when I buy them used.. especially with Covid-19 going around it’s just a good idea to wash/dry clean before.. & sorry I didn’t dry clean it for you . I didn’t think it smelled . Smokers can’t smell smoke like non smokers

audrynlovinger @clarissaweed I know, but after taxes and shipping it was $70 out of my pocket. I don’t tend to read the bios of every person I buy from and I’m sure I’m not alone in that. So much trouble and effort avoided if you are just forthright in the ad. No need to reimburse for cleaning.

audrynlovinger And I know you can’t tell if you smoke. My Nana smoked her whole life and didn’t notice her drapes smelled until she was 70! Then she quit. lol. I do like it and will get it cleaned. FYI, latest research shows that COVID doesn’t stay on surfaces long at all so by the time something ships it should be fine. Washing is good for other reasons. :)

clarissaweed @audrynlovinger yeah the taxes and shipping does add almost $10 I thought I gave u $4.99 shipping it idk if it went through: well I hope you get the smell out at the dry cleaners if that’s what you decide to do. It’s a really warm coat . Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope u decide to keep it.! I want some one to enjoy it. I have no use for it in south tx
