Hi. The retail price was raised in order to keep the sale price high since both my friend myself and the owner split the cost. Sometimes I make the retail zero to avoid any argument. With Poshmark taking 20% off all sales we have to do that.

@smeelie hi there. I really hope I didn’t come off rude or a jerk. I want to get my daughter a wallet to go with her Speedy I bought for her brand new last year in NY. The purse was for her 20th bday. Wallet for 21st. I decided to try consignment to help out fellow brand lovers. I’ve had not so good luck buying Louboutin shoes used so I have to go new. I was hoping for a nice deal. This is no way a negative reflection on you. Just want you to know. Thanks again for your time.

@slymer67 No not at all. Before switching mainly to Poshmark 7 years ago, I had been selling my authentic designer items for 20 years on eBay (same username.) but I’m always learning and welcome questions like yours! A month ago I started helping my friend Jodi list stuff she’s selling at her consignment store Coco Luxe in Boca Raton. With both of our experience handling designer items (she used to work at Chanel and has been consigning items for years) we can spot a fake from a mile away...

@slymer67 I also happen to know the girl that brought in the LV wallet. I thank you for making me aware of the date code discrepancy because others who are knowledgeable about Louis Vuitton date codes that might have shown interest in the wallet would have been deterred based on the poor photo and incorrect description!

@slymer67 I’m sure the bumps just make it look like an 8 or 9. That first number has to be a 0. I will go in either tomorrow or Tuesday and photograph it myself (Her assistant took that photo.)

@smeelie I’m glad to help with my crazy attention to detail. I don’t sell anything. I donate it or give it to my friends who are not as lucky to own at times. I’m trying on 2 pairs of shoes I just never wore. If I don’t sell, I will donate. My daughter wears my size but we both hate high ankle straps. lol
