Hi! I'm Bea. This is more for shopping - so you can get to know your buyer.
I'm trying to lessen my fast fashion footprint by shopping used/previously owned clothes and ecofriendly brands. If this describes your closet leave a comment!
I wear basically all black with accents of colors. Unless I'm wearing it in the water - then I want bold colors that look like something at 80 feet below the surface!
I like natural fabrics (linen, merino wool) and tech fabrics that wick well.
I don't like perfumes. My house can't do strong scents. I get it - vintage/used clothes can carry a scent, but perfume added to the garments is a big no thanks.
Things I'm looking for previously loved/used:
Waterlust pieces
Every by X "One Dress" in Black (midlength)
Rash guards and swim leggings in ocean animal prints
hippie/harem pants in non-traditional patterns, especially with side seam pockets
merino wool staple pieces
Kaftans with pockets (black, of course)
Linen garments
Jeans! - I don't own any (seriously)
Favorite Fabrics:
Linen
Silk
Merino wool (mulesing-free brands only)
Vegan Silk
Rayon
Sizes:
Womens Large / (sometimes Xtra Large, sometimes Medium)
Pants mid-high waist, waist size 31
Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave me a comment if I should check out your closet! :)

Hey Bea! This is Cat. On my Meet Your Posher page you commented that my listings include info about scents (actually, the total lack of scent). I replied there but thought I should here too.
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I love finding a shop where the seller is offering their own clothing that they didn't expose to scents (laundry products, incense, perfume, cigarette/weed smoke, etc.) I wish Posh had a filter for selecting these hard to find sellers!

@ohhandmedowns Hi Cat! Thank so much for doing that, I dind't get a notification from your reply! I wish the same thing! t'd be so great if I could sort by "scent-free" because white vinegar soaks and 4 washes isn't a lower water footprint. :( I'm new here but noticed that Poshmark is missing a lot of search terms/options I've come to expect when shopping - like top & bra sizes, or an entire "workout clothes" category. Might need to send a note. Anyway, love finding someone on the same page! <3

Yep. The other thing about vinegar is it doesn't work on lots of scents. I have much better success with water plus: washing soda to break down the adhesive of the scent, along with no-residue soap Sal Suds to separate it from the fabric, plus OdorKlenz or other mineral-based product that actually binds to the scent that gets pried loose. Long soaking & frequent agitation. Washing soda is also called "soda ash". On woolens, this works without the washing soda but takes longer.

haha didn't mean to do that twice

@ohhandmedowns Ooh! This is great info! I just added some washing soda to my shopping list. I'll start there and see how it goes! Thanks for the tips!

@raeheihei Not to be over-bearing, but make sure it's washing soda and not something that sounds similar like Nellie's Laundry Soda or Borax which has other ingredients and is much weaker (plus contains oxygen bleach which you don't always want). Just plain old sodium carbonate. Dissolve completely in a little hot water, then add to the sink or bucket or whatever your larger vessel is. Wikipedia page on sodium carbonate is interesting. (Also, don't use on woolens.) Good luck!

@ohhandmedowns Hahha no problem. Most of my clothes are black so bleach or borax would be the worst. Except my workout clothes which I sometimes have fun colors/patterns. I found Arm&Hammer Super Washing Soda which is just sodium carbonate & water for like $4. I'll report back!
