beccaboo84 @hillaryshouston I just received a floral dress in the mail and it is way too tight and short. Super cute but seller said to knees and it's not. Do I just turn around and resell it?

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 well there are a few options you have. I personally have a return policy that I offer that I will let the buyer swap out the item for anything in the store IF they let me know before leaving negative feedback. The only stipulation is they pay return shipping. Most reputable sellers have similar policies. Have you tried to talk to the seller? Communication is key on here. (Continued)

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 unfortunately for every 10 honest sellers your gonna find one hustler or scam artists. Such is life anywhere though I suppose. If you feel you were intentionally mislead and the seller is like oh well not my problem then you can file a claim against her and Poshmark will intervene. To do this go to your dashboard and click MY PURCHASES then click PROBLEM and explain what happened. They may refund your money.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 the last option is to resell it but if someone is being misleading in there posts you really should call them out on it and let them know that is not how Poshmark works. hillaryshouston Lol yeah that one threw me off too at first. @beccaboo84 the bundle button acts like a bookmark would to save a tab on your PC. The party hosts use it to pick out the items that they want to feature as a Host Pick so when the party starts they can just quickly put up the HP items.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 you're such a sweetie I love you to bits lol most people don't care about courtesy you're one of a kind kiddo. The proper thing to do is tag the person who wants it and the seller in the same comment and ask if it is still available. If the seller says yes then buy it. But since you don't know if they have a previous arrangement like a bundle or trade, it's always best to ask first.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 if it was done this morning the buyer can go to her dashboard and under "my purchases" click cancel order. Or you can do it under my sales then have her redo the whole order with all the items the money releases back in the account instantly.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 OK relax I did the same thing once. Contact each lady separately and ask them if you can offer a store credit towards a future item if you can email a copy of the label and have her put it on the package and ship it to the other girl at her earliest convenience.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 or you can make a separate listing on here and just put a picture that says sorry or something then tag them both and be 100% honest and tell them they can swap packages or return to sender and then you can resend it to the correct address OR you can tell them to keep the dress and you will refund the money for it and they can work it out if they want to trade with each other.

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 the biggest thing that you can do is start by being honest and upfront about it and offer an incentive to the buyers so they are less likely to give you bad feedback and more likely to work with you to get it sorted out. When I did it I gave the girl $20 store credit and she was happy to help.

beccaboo84 @hillaryshouston In regards to the swap issue, one lady quickly sent her dress to the other and I guess the other lady took 2-3 days to send hers to the other lady. By the time she sent it, the other lady had given up waiting and cancelled her order it looks like. I messaged her and told her that it was out of my control at this point. Will she get a refund even though she has the dress?Am I going to get penalized cuz the lady delayed in sending her dress?

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 in all honesty. Yes. I hate to say that but it'd one of the Poshmark pitfalls. You have to put a lot of faith in people to do the right thing. Sometimes that faith is misguided and we get screwed. Every real store has these things happen too. At least you don't have to worry about shoplifters lol

hillaryshouston @beccaboo84 communication is key! And although Poshmark is limited on what they can enforce there are other ways to get a person to return your merchandise. But I would attempt to make every effort to talk them into mailing it back before taking extreme measures.
