instabellerina @angiechip Hi there, thank you for your patience. I heard back from Goorin Bros and I am still interested in the hat. I learned that they sold the hat for $70 brand new, which is what I thought I remembered when I was trying it on a few years ago at their store here in Seattle. I see you listed the hat for $65 used, albeit great condition and $175 original price.

instabellerina @angiechip Typically a used item in like new condition is sold at 50% of the retail price. My offer of $35 was 50% of $70 (the original retail price by Goorin Bros). Obviously it’s your item and you can price it and ask what you want for it and I 100% respect that and I’m also interested in fairness as a posher myself. After I pay shipping at $7 I’ll be paying $42 for a used hat that was originally sold for $70. What are your thoughts?

instabellerina @angiechip I don’t want to disrespect you or your personal pricing process, which is why I’m leaving this comment here and not under the hat. European hair, rabbit fur felt and beaver fur felt are more in the range of $200+ but not many wool hats. Wool fedoras are cheaper, period, because they don’t hold their structure and have to be retreated overtime. What price are you hoping for?

angiechip @instabellerina haha! Girl - I wouldn’t have sent you over to the store honestly if I knew I posted this wrong! That is completely my bad - obviously when I went to put it up I saw 170 - instead of $70 - so with tax - there you go. I’m glad you found out the info - I will adjust and I’m sorry for my mistake. I have purchased other hats over there for over a hundred so I didn’t think anything of it. I had two other offers come in 10 higher that expired so I need to wait and see here.

sofullofchic Hi Belle, I just sent you a message on the bundle you purchased yesterday. Let me know if you got it. I don’t think there’s a way to get a poshmark shipping label for an order that exceeds 10lbs. Right now it weighs about 13lbs. I could either split up the order in two bundles, I would just have to create two new listings. Let me know your thoughts! ❤️

instabellerina @em127358 Hi Emily, most of the time people are looking for higher end brands in new to excellent used condition. On Poshmark it is difficult to sell “big box store brands” (target etc) because the Buyer has to pay nearly $8 in shipping. So if it is something that cost you under $35 and you’re selling it for $10 the buyer is actually paying $18 for it. Most people are not willing to pay the high shipping fee if it makes it more than the item is worth or “worth to them personally”.

instabellerina @em127358 I recommend selling big box store items in bundles on your page/profile/closet. Meaning already bundle things together for people. So maybe a listing has 3 pairs of pants for $18 or two shirts for $15.

instabellerina @em127358 I also recommended selling on other platforms if you’re determined and have the time. Speaking of time…patience and “sharing” on the Poshmark app is key. Lastly, other people (I don’t personally) list their items or link their accounts to other social media accounts for “more visibility”. That’s just too much for the time I have. Good look✨
