boober243 @bfriend620 no offense at all. I bought this at a thrift store that is a non profit organization. All proceeds go to a place called safe harbor, which is a no kill animal shelter. Yesterday I was in the store looking at some shoes which is near the owners office and he came out of there and the whole section smelled like smoke. So I have no doubt that it smells.

boober243 @bfriend620 It's possible I didn't notice because I occasionally smoke too(socially usually at a bar after a couple of shots never in my home or vehicle). But I totally understand that some people are highly sensitive to it. I would be happy to accept this item back. So sorry for the inconvenience. I will not be selling any items from this store again!!

bfriend620 @boober243 I used to smoke too, but quit over 10 years ago. If the odor was mild, It might have gone away over time, but it's pretty strong and I was able to smell it as soon as I started to open the box. Let me know what would work best for you :)

boober243 @bfriend620 no no not at all posh should approve the return and ill just donate it back to them it's no big deal I just don't want you to be unhappy with your purchase from me believe me I spent a fortune at that place over the years and most of it is stuff I wear myself for awhile then sell. The Brighton was too cute I thought huh maybe my posh family would like this.

boober243 But it's all good I didn't tell you to feel bad it just happened to be a store I frequent a lot but I didn't realize the guy actually smokes in there until yesterday. Smokers really don't understand how awful they smell. Clothes house cars all of it really wreaks to non smokers.

boober243 Maybe if you return it I could relist it and disclose it has smoke smell maybe someone who buys it won't mind. The animal shelter isn't losing out because I already paid for the item. Only one losing out would be me but like I said maybe a smoker can purchase and not mind.

bfriend620 @ahedlund23 it's not your fault. The leather on the front of the bag is defective. There are a ton of like splattered reddish brown spots all over. It's not the grain because the back is fine except for a small area near the side.

The 2 scuffs are small and I will bring to a leather cleaner and see if they have a polish the color of the bag that will make the spots blend better. Anyway, it happens....And I really like the bag.

mysticalcloset I will give that some thought...I just posted it today. It's in A+++ condition...if you're like me I always get my bags cleaned by Brighton after a season of using them.
