@bethrandi Well, teacher.... you taught us something today! Neither of us had ever heard of a Switchback, so I looked it up. Nice bike! I too, would have needed a smaller frame (& lowered) bike. We are from Philly, & I took my cycle test there before we moved to FL (17 yrs of hot & humid ugh ugh) but never got a bike. We sold ours down there after a year or two of almost getting hit several times by seniors with the big sunglasses after cataract surgery!!! Now, here in the mountains of NC, a

bike would be awesome. But, hubby had, totally out of the blue, a massive heart attack & then a stroke, so out biking days are over. They didn't think he would survive either, but he is still around almost 7yrs later, so we are just happy that he can drive a car & get around again. Life takes some strange turns but ya just roll with it. So, next time you are out with the wind in your face, take a deep breath for me! :)

@foresttreasures I’m so glad your hubby is okay! We’re in our 50s so bike riding days are winding down. My husband lived in Philly for years-his favorite city!! We’re in NJ and I always say when we retire, I want to head down to NC. We know so many people that have left NJ for SC or NC. Our daughter is finishing up school at the University of Georgia in Athens, and is settling in South Carolina. So I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before we pack our bags and head south!
