Hi! I'm Beth. I am a proud Nurse and mother of two, four legged boys. I'm also an avid flower gardener with a love for blue flowers. Sadly like so many others in the world, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. I was recently diagnosed with chest wall cancer and begin chemo early Feb. Going to fight like hell! bethyjane hi, I have noticed in your auctions and at other shows that people will custom bid a lower price than is actually auctioned for. I think this is rude. I would like to buy some things but the auction price is more than I want to pay (at other auctions) but I just can't bring myself to do it. I hope to have a show in the future and would hope no one does that to me.

closetofdaisies @bethyjane hey. I'm not sure what you mean, help me out! typically a custom bid is higher than what the auction price is, I haven't seen it in the reverse. you said it happened in my show, so maybe give me an example. I'd really appreciate it!

closetofdaisies @bethyjane oh my, I didn't know that happened. I wouldn't think it could, I mean the seller sets the auction price. why would someone take less? that is weird!!! and, it isn't fair to other buyers if you would take less for an item.

bethyjane @closetofdaisies yes, it was your show the first time I saw it. I can't remember what the brooches were but I remember u would start the bid at the show at 10 and someone put a custom bid of 8 and they would win the item. It happened a few times in your show. it was usually the same person too. I don't know why there is a custom bid button beside the bid button.

I like to run my shows by putting an item up and if I have more of the item telling folks to not overbid. And, I would tell PM that it happens. it is not fair to the seller or other buyers!

I'm kinda OCD, so I've been putting together my chemo bag and bins for specific things, like mouth care, skincare, bathroom cleanup etc. I'm in good spirits and going to do all I can to fight.
