betsysue @sharvai Hi- give me a little bit longer, I apologize. I have a sick niece and for the moment it's all I'm doing in my spare time! Up close the marks are noticeable- but really not too bad! The leather is so soft I'm scared to try any cleaner on it tho :/. If you still want the items tho I would do 45! Take your time and I will update you on my decision about the marks on the purse LOL :)

She is returning a pair of boots to me, which I understand because they got dented somehow- but there were a few inconstancies in her reasoning so I did some checking. I assume it’s because she won’t get her $$ or as much as she was hoping. 😡😡😡 but, I made Poshmark aware because that is awful to do. Shouldn’t be allowed! Warren?! betsysue @cheecheed I think they are trying, but they really pop up every minute. I know they’re issuing refunds immediately even if the item says shipped if the buyer becomes aware. But I don’t think they’ve figured out how to stop the speed they’re coming in at :(

cheecheed Posh has always stood by ..the release of funds once the buyer accepts the order..So for example if you never receive the item how would they be as able to pull of the scam unless they send a fake duplicate of that item ?

betsysue @cheecheed they are banking on Poshers who do not know they only have 3 days to file the claim. If the item is marked delivered, and the buyer does not know to accept or dispute it- the funds are released. You don’t have to believe me about the scam. Just be careful is all I’m asking people, it happened to my friend.

betsysue @cheecheed And honestly, I’ve had items that were marked delivered but either were stolen or the buyer just lied. The buyer was refunded and I received my earnings for the list/stolen item.

They send an empty envelope to an altered address, but keep the scan code from the original label. So like you or I would know to file a claim immediately . New users or people unaware get scammed

Only thing is it doesn’t go to Poshmark- it goes to Posh Ambassadors such as myself but also to regular users now I believe. 😞 And some users that see it in the process buy it as they’re cheaper than real but they may be unaware they’re fakes. I only report more obvious ones.

If someone opts into the system then you’ve given your permission to a buyer or maybe more?! But it watermarks your seller ID on it. But actually Posh had the opt in as the DEFAULT setting without telling people!! There was a big ruckus about that slim-shady bad move! anyway do you know about this?? myclosetstylist @betsysue So if your pixs or text is stolen, if you contact Poshmark they will remove them. If it’s a fake seller they’ll delete the account. They have to by law. They deleted my photos & the account is shut down. 🙌🏻Posh! So this was a scammer (with no item) using my Gucci pixs because it’s not the normal Gucci belt so there’s ZERO way she had it. She was Just going to do the envelope scam you describe. But that’s pretty easy to beat though!

myclosetstylist @betsysue Right, they gave notification about it so kept it ON. Messed up, default should be off... it should be an opt-in. I may be confused. They HAVE TO use the real Poshmark label UPC code so they get paid. So it has to scan. The clock will start 3 days upon delivery of Poshmark’s label. They can screw with label but not upc as that’s how they get paid.

You can see the difference in the post- completely different “ Poshmark” label. It really is crazy. The only thing they kept was the original little barcode at the bottom- the rest of the label is not Poshmarks.

With 1,000s of accounts, even if you fool only 100 of every 1,000 that to me is a successful scam. The girl in the original post explains it best- it truly is 2 labels in one... don’t take my word for it tho. I do know Posh is immediately refunding buyers even if the item is showing tracking( which they would never do if it weren’t a legit and active scam! -

MOST people won’t know it’s real and they could profit like $300 a pop! They can last a while before getting shut down. Re buyer protection- On this kind of thing I feel they’re A1. They’ll protect the buyer if she/he has communication skills & it’s somewhat timely.
