Hi! I'm Betty - that’s my grand-puppy, Coconut - a very sophisticated Boston terrier now living in Coconut Grove!! And of course my 2 adorable grandchildren - growing up way too fast! We've been here in southwest Miami about a year, and we still have way too much stuff! After 3 moves in 3 years, we keep finding things we forgot we had. Plus, our son decided to go thru one of his storage closets and "let go" of clothes he bought for his northern life. One of our favorite brands is Tommy Bahama - truly south Florida styling. pixiedustpj Wow. We have a lot in common. I was a librarian in Volusia County for 7.5 years...Edgewater, Deland Regional, Lake Helen, and Pierson. And my personal house is in Sanford!!!! Now you are moving to Coconut Grove. At least that is a really nice area. You couldn't push me from Ormond Beach. And my mom went to Hunter College in New York City. We visited your Alma Mater several years ago - drove up from Dallas where our older son was living to attend an Oklahoma vs Miami Hurricanes football game! We had a great time - people were so nice (except for 1!) and we enjoyed seeing another part of our great country. I don't remember who won, but it didn't even matter!! bettyboopertoo @bluridge52 Yes, we all love TB - we lived in south FL for 47 years and always shopped at the TB store in the heart of Fort Lauderdale - after all, it was "summer" 95% of the year!! We moved 4 hours north, still in FL, but there are seasons here!! Today it was in the low 40s when we awoke, got up to 59!! I feel like I'm back in NY/NJ where we grew up!! Those are my two darling grandkids who just relocated from NYC (ugh) to Miami! Now I can jump in the car instead of dealing with airports! :)

monica49ishere hi Betty you are so blessed 🌹 to have those beautiful grandkids I am 47 lost my son of 22 years old on motorcycle accident on 2020 Feb 29 and i have 2 more kids 27 and my daughter 22 now and from the 3 i always thought Tony was gonna be the first one to give me grandkids but he is my angel 😇 now. and my 2 other kids not even likes to go out so I'm waiting inpatient to meet my kiddos many blessings for your beautiful family and my best wishes for your poshing career love

I hid my jewelry when I went on a trip and of course now I’m having a hard time remembering where I put stuff! LOL! Has the market for old pocket watches changed? I still have my grandfather’s watch from circa 1915, I think 24kt gold either Waltham or Hamilton. Still works. 😃😃

ae_jewelry_coin @bettyboopertoo 24K gold watch cases are pretty rare to come across! If it is, that would be wonderful to see. Pocket watches consist of multiple manufacturers tho. For example, the movement could be the Hamilton or Waltham like you mentioned, but the case could be from a different company as well as some of the other components

But it’s a 4-1/2 hour drive to our grandkids and their parents in Coconut Grove, so it’s hard to be available to babysit on short order! Looking forward to moving south! 😃😃 Happy Thanksgiving!

bettyboopertoo @cflo71 Thanksgiving was wonderful as we spent it with the grandkids and their parents in Miami. We’ll be moving back to south Florida in 3 weeks! The drive is just too long for us to keep making every few weeks so now that my son has relocated his part of the company from Manhattan, it makes sense for us to move back. We’re having a wonderful Chanukah holiday and will celebrate Christmas too. A blended family! All the best to you and your lovely family too - just keep Poshin’! 😃😃

I used to work at a Brokerage Company there, I am a realtor, I love to walk around those unique stores & restaurants.It’s one of the best areas in S.FL, I would love to open a little pet boutique and grooming store, not to sell pets, just clothing, toys and good quality pet food, and on the weekends have shelters hold adoptions. Well that’s my Dream.I better sell a lot homes to do that.

Our golf club community was enjoying sales within days of listing; new homes being built were going up so fast! I think we left at the right time even though we weren’t planning to leave! We had “winter” - something I left behind in 1972 when I moved to south Florida after college! When my older son moved from NYC to the grove last November he started pushing us towards moving back south. I’m glad we did - we probably would have installed a fireplace had we stayed!! 😃😃
