bill_warburton The earlier Colours have a a small bar of embroidery . These were better quality and better materials than later clothes. I assume he got bigger and lost edge. . Check shirts on Poshmark and you will see the bar on pocket. later shirts had a horseshoe round emblem. Now he has a high quality.line sold in.his family business , Julians, in Chapel Hill, a long established clothing store. I suspect yours is one of those.

designercrafted hi, what do you mean by small bar? the julian shirt is not at all like colours..its a higher end shirt. not his high end more like the original alexander julian from what i can see on the shirt you liked. i have been following this designer for a long time. one of my favorites. if you bundle we can chat. i had a question for you. thanks

1greatone $23 is very fair for the vintage AJ. It is rare. He didn't do many plaid. It is Extraordinary fabric and construction! IF....you purchase, it will be evident. And finally, ones have "sold"...not nearly as nice, as high as $57. Meaning the usual multi-stripe.

bill_warburton but I only buy the early 90s eith the embroidered bar, knew He hadn't died because his line disappeared except for Shirt and tie sets at Christmas. Perry Ellis died in middle 80s, but his name lived on. Told Alexander that when I met him give s talk at furniture show on his furniture line. His father owned Men's store in Chapel Hill
