You should know however, if you have any dealings with Native Americans - especially the Navajo and the Cherokee - the owl is seen as a messenger of death in the old traditional ways. So, it’s best to find out about a particular tribe’s beliefs before offering any part an owl, or any artistic rendering as a gift.
