comrade_star Hello. I'm so sorry about that. The shoes is not brand new but they are like new and in excellent condition.We could not possibly know about defect.Some times it happened with used or brand new shoes when they stored for long time

smuckers38 @comrade_star they were very clean for used shoes unfortunately the second day the left shoe did the exact same thing. Perhaps as a learning experience for future customers suggest inspecting them especially if they are stored for long periods of time as you mention. I’m hoping the Gorilla glue holds them together.
