It IS overwhelming at first :) No, you don’t always have to message on this page. You can message under a listing, however that will be seen by everyone. You can add a listing to a bundle and send a message from there. That keeps the messaging off the mail page.
I’ll do that now......

@bspeckens you just click on the person’s listing and then comment from their. If you want to have a private conversation then you would need to click the middle button on the listing which is “bundle button” that will create a bundle and then you and the seller will be the only ones who can see the message
