ajoneal Do you know a lot about LV Handbags? I bought one from a lady on posh and she is really sweet and she had a LV Handbag that she bought at a charity auction and said she bought it to help and was told it was real but she wasn't sure so she sold it to me at a great price and I don't know how to tell. I usually buy Coach and Dooney and Bourke. Let me know if you know how I can tell. Thanks

brandolyndrake @ajoneal depends if the bag is vintage. If the bag is not vintage, the lv & symbols line together pattern wise & symmetrically. The lv face downward on one side. The leather tabs on the outside have stitchings in the shape of a V but separated into fives to equal the V sign. The stitchings are slanted as should be because of hand sewn. The heat stamp inside should be evenly stamp with same size font.

brandolyndrake @ajoneal Under flap, date code should match birthplace on the heat stamp. Paris, USA, Italy Spain & France.date starts with 2 letters to indicate birthplace followed by year. vintage pieces are different like knocks offs.

ajoneal @brandolyndrake If I send you some pictures could you help me? I just want to know because even if it not the real LV the lady was very nice even the price was good. She just wasn't sure so I bought because it was worth a try😁. Who knows I may have got a great deal😜 It's still a nice handbag. Let me know if you can look at pictures.
