Meet your Posher, Bureau

Hi! I'm Bureau. Some of my favorite brands are Maison Laviniaturra, Mackage, Opening Ceremony, vintage Rebecca Taylor and many small atelier designers from around the world with good textiles and craftsmanship. Most of my closet is personal wardrobe I can’t or it hurts to wear after health and body changes from new chronic conditions stemming from severe endometriosis, and domestic violence with physical injuries. Up and down for many years, I overshopped when my family and I expected better recovery from surgery, physical therapy etc. Can’t wear most heels or waistbands anymore, so letting go of many things I loved to wear or wanted to wear! So there’s a lot of new with tags! If it’s Eileen Fisher, artisan jewelry, or a more preppy style it’s probably from my mom’s closet that she doesn’t want to alter (she’s good at seamstress work, sewing, etc). Trying to get her to pull out her vintage gems she’s held onto for many decades. We’ll see. Some of the most garish or outlandish are costume closet for project ideas that were in progress at my teaching studios in documentary and public art, before coerced and forced to shut them pre- and post- divorce down by violent threats by my aggressor (now former husband). Others are my own personal wardrobe for my work. More of these likely to be added, as we’re posting things.
