thorne1951 @ses54 Thank you that is a most generous thing for you to do. Yes I have a closet full of high-end designer clothes that I can no longer wear or no longer need, so Poshmark is the perfect answer to clearing out my own home closet and making a little of my investment back, so I can reinvest in better fitting and age appropriate designer fashion. Poshmark seems to be a very friendly and happy place to be and I am so happy that I have joined the Posh family. There is more to come.

ses54 @thorne1951 Oh it’s no problem at all & I saw those jackets 👌 Shared all of those too ha! I’m glad you enjoyed looking through Brad & Jon’s Closet! They told me that they purchased a lot of their Versace items from an auction they had after the sale of most of the bigger items in his mansion, as they live in Florida. ses54 @thorne1951 Continue .. Anyhow I’ll be watching for your new items. Sometimes the Vintage or throwback items bring more than the NWT on here. Depends on the buyer’s taste I assume. It doesn’t look like you have an HP on any of your items yet. I’ll see what I can do to recommend you for one for tomorrow nights scheduled “Men’s style Party” on here. thorne1951 @ses54 Thank you, I'll keep an eye out for the men’s party. I agree with you that vintage can be very important, especially with the new revitalization of the 1970's era. Have you caught the recreation of the 1969 Brady Bunch House on HGTY, talk about a throwback to the past? The clothing items that I‘m going to post are form that same time period and I believe are still in the best of taste and relevant, just of the period.

ses54 @thorne1951 You are absolutely correct on that! I actually lost one of my Son’s in a senseless service station robbery. He was only 18 yrs old. Hardest thing I ever had to go through in my life so I cherish my other 2. So sudden & such a shock! Makes you realize how precious time is.

thorne1951 @ses54 I am so sorry to hear that you lost your son, I know that is heartbreaking, there is nothing worse than the loss of a child. I lost my Mother not quite 2 years ago, she was my best friend and we lived together after my Dad passed away, so her loss hit me very hard and that anniversary is approaching. I truly understand the pain of loss! So we live for the ones we have and remember those that we have lost.

I am a fan of how you are using your Posh funds to support rescue animals. I have had 2 rescue dogs myself and they have been and are the best dogs and most loyal dogs ever.

thorne1951 @jjcmom There is no one right way to do anything in retail. Handbags were among my harder to sell items when I was in my own business. Of course price –point made a difference. In my store, after the first season or so I replaced handbags and lingerie with swimsuits and formal-wear and found that much more profitable. If I had it to do over again, I probably would open an exclusive After-Five store, but with the current climate of brick & mortar stores, that would be a disaster today.

With most apps such as this and mecari you have to slash prices so drastically to sell and then lose what little profit you had when the app takes their cut it doesn’t seem worth the time it takes to try.... and get here we are 😂 Wishing you the BEST 🥰

thorne1951 @jjcmom That is what I am afraid of and I am not going to give my things away. Things like my Cartier watch and things that still fit, I'll just put back in my closet if it takes that much of a markdown to sell them. My Zegna cashmere jacket is a $4K jacket and I am only asking $795.00 for it and I have only worn it twice. It still fits me, so it will be back to my real closet. I remain hopeful though as I have a friend doing very well with Posh.

jjcmom @thorne1951 Do not give those things away people will make low ball offers but like you said if they still fit keep them. I’ve learned the secret is be patient continue to grow your following by sharing and follows and they will eventually sell. I have a lot of stuff for nearly nothing in the beginning to get a feel for what is going to sell and to help grow my following but I can’t do that anymore it’s not worth it especially when the price is already more than half off and posh takes 20% 😵

thorne1951 @jjcmom You can only go so low or you'd have to pay them to take your goods. Yes being patient is a necessary thing and I am sharing and following daily so in time hopefully that will help. I will hold rather firm on my very expensive things, but I am open to a good and reasonable offer on ant of my things. I still have a lot of items to add, but that takes me the longest to get it properly staged and photographed, transferred, saved and selecting and then to the actual listing which is easy.
