CHANDI grew up in the country with 25 cats near “the most haunted lighthouse in America.” She moved to NYC at 17 to major in Painting at Pratt. She appeared on an episode of Ricki Lake and Flea Market Flip. In 1996 she started her clothing line, CHANDI NYC, selling in boutiques across the US, Berlin and Tokyo. She teaches sewing, screen-printing, and pattern-making, works as a tailor in television and film, and collaborates with artists and designers on projects for museums, restaurants and hotels. On Etsy, https://www.etsy.com/shop/chandinyc , you'll find her face masks, bondage-inspired plant hangers, and clothing from past collections. She currently creates out of her studio in Union Square, where she has several plants that are taller than her.

Welcome to Poshmark 💎💎

Lol. Your prisoner weapon wall reminds of the shiv wall on My Name is Earl when Earl went to prison for practically an entire season. I was jealous of the set dresser that got to make that iconic piece. *sigh* The tv & film industry has such a mixture of blessings and curses. Glad to see a fellow costumer/designer out here in Posh world! ✌🏻🎬

@giuliableh haha, I haven't thought about that show in years, but I love that actor/skater. Nearby the town of Sleepy Hollow, there is a little Sing Sing prison museum. You'll find these weapons, a full prison cell, and ambient sounds of the aqueduct.
