aghainer Hi-yes it is a small chip on the base . You can’t see it when it is upright. I uploaded a couple pics for you to see on the product in the original listing .

I've been collecting them for almost 20 years but I lost several in a house fire and have been trying to regain some of my favorites and this was the last one I needed. On the rare occasions I found them they weren't in my size. The one pair I found once in my size wrre in horrible condition. There are plenty of the darker blue flower top version but not the rose top! Thank you so much. Now I can retire all my searching.
