dollyandjesus @scottsdalemimi Hi, so I wanted to ask you about scammers. I got an email saying that someone paid for the boots I am selling and sent a “screen shot” but there are NO identifying specifics on how hat “receipt” … so when someone buys something what type of confirming info is on a receipt to show what was purchased? Thank you!

scottsdalemimi @dollyandjesus all your confirmation is through Poshmark. Those boots are still active. Money gets collected immediately from Posh and put into a type of escrow. Until boots are delivered and buyer has accepted through the Posh app. Only then your funds are released to you. So that is definitely a scam. Poshmark will let you know when something has sold and then will generate a postal shipping label for you.

scottsdalemimi I cannot believe some people. That is a new one on me. Usually they will ask for photos outside the app. Please only go through the app. That is your recourse.

scottsdalemimi @dollyandjesus yes that’s the scam. For the most part buying and selling on the app is easy. And I have had very few problems. And Posh is also there for support. Lots of luck to you. 🤗

dollyandjesus @scottsdalemimi Hi, again!! Question! I put some table mats up for sale & got a comment from someone that they purchased them & I got an email from “Poshmark Teams” but not just Poshmark… it gave me a “confirmation” button & sent me to a page asking for my cc info. Obviously this smells like a scam. It still says I haven’t sold anything yet on the site. But, when something does sale (hopefully 😊) for real; How am I to know for sure that’s it’s a real sale & not a scam?

scottsdalemimi @dollyandjesus correct. You get an email with a tab to download a shipping label. You also get notification on your closet feed that says who purchased the item. At that point it will show sold, you will have cash pending on you info page. And if you look at sold items it will show there as well.
