boutiquebisel @styledlife Carrie. Thank you. I started by selling my old jeans 20 yr old Prada sneakers for $10 etc. I didn't know it was all for women and I was the first man. If you start looking at sales online or Good garage sales or even split with a friend her clothes and decide on a percentage.

boutiquebisel What I look for now that it's very special isbi look at all the comments and figure out how long the item didn't sell. If you come across a new posher or start small maybe with QVC just until you figure out your vision. Much of the same clothing happens a lot I steer away from those items. I think as a curator of sorts of wearable art I chat with people about why I like this sweater and then share at least five items for every closet or boutique you go into.

boutiquebisel All those people will do the same for you and that's how you start having followers who love your clothing and following people that you love. Plus sizes is a big issue for me. There isn't enough quality colorful stylized clothing for that population. Little by little I've brought in four great pieces that go from small to 5X.

boutiquebisel I won't bore you right now but it's absolutely critical that your clothing even p reloved are in great shape no stains no tears no odors .If there is a mark take a close up tell where it is any move on. styledlife Thank you @kjoyhm I will get back with you when I am a little more organized. I just got a ton of inventory at an event that is super great only once a year. I think I'm just overwhelmed in general and am not a naturally super organized person. I need to make a detailed listing of all my inventory first I suppose, then start loading. Does it matter if everything is not ordered by size or category like some closets do? Ie: shirts, pants, dresses, shoes. I have no idea how to get that in order.

kjoyhm @styledlife Hi! How fun to get new inventory! Organization is key, for sure. I have a separate closet for my Poshmark things, which helps. You could keep a notebook (or do it on your computer) of your inventory: item description, what you paid, when you sold it and for how much.

kjoyhm @styledlife And it's completely personal how you'd like to set up your closet. Some people organize it by color, some by type of item, some by size. I like to set it up by how it looks - complimentary colors next to each other, for example. Take a look at different closets and gather ideas of what appeals to you. It's your "shop," so let it reflect your style.

kjoyhm @styledlife You're very welcome! I try to do a few at a time, otherwise it gets overwhelming. If you can set aside a chunk of time regularly to list items, that will help. Get things washed and ironed, as needed, then take measurements and record. Then plan your photo session: find a space by a window, if possible, get a blank backdrop, lay out your item or try it on/put it on a dress form, and get a clear shot. Then give a clear description of the item and any needed measurements, and list! 🙂

southerngal0724 I lived in Naples, FL for over 20+ years and then lived in Brunswick, GA. I'm currently in WI to be near my 95-year-old mama. I'll return to GA eventually. I want to stay near mama. Right now dementia is her downfall, but she looks 20 years younger than her age. She's a 4'10" Spitfire and I just love her to pieces. Where did you live in Georgia? We've got rain all weekend here and I'm having a shingles flare again in my ear on top of the upper resp virus. My immune system is just so weak. Despite all the herbs and vitamins I take and prescriptions. But I don't give up. Try to stay warm my friend. No pressure for time frame.

yuansource The red skirt came from Anthropologie I did have a white one but I already sold it and it’s just too small for me but it’s a perfect card for the holidays and it’s in great condition very beautiful and the dress I bought in Paris France at a shop that discounts high fashion dresses because they cut the label out of them and it’s beautiful long dress with the pockets at the bottom and the purple skirt I’ll show is from Europe so there you go if you have any questions let me know
