funrun262 @wenyingxu It is actually amazing that we can do class via Zoom. I am very grateful that I can take class every day. Nos parring or breaking, but it is still a great workout and I have been able to relearn most of my forms. It has kept me sane and happy!

wenyingxu @funrun262 that’s wonderful! I’m the same. Without gym or tennis, I’d go crazy. Tarkwon-do without sparring and breaking sounds like a treat. The flying kicks and breaks messed up my knees. Keep training! 👍🌹

wenyingxu @funrun262 I wonder about the ITF sign on your uniform. Do you also belong to ITF? Most of the practitioners I know in Florida are members of WTF.

funrun262 @wenyingxu I started in WTF (Boston) but switched to ITF when I moved across the country. I found the differences to be slight --I had to unlearn some things and learn new ones, but not too difficult to do. I was surprised that ITF (or at least the particular school where I practice now) requires a thesis for 1st black belt promotion, as well as community service and participation in tournaments. My first school did not require that--just a test.
