I’m not sure why this was an issue, the belt is authentic, has the dust bag and the original box....I was about to write to poshmark to ask what their process is for this, because it’s very much real. I’m sorry though because it’s really lovely...I can keep you posted if they are able to re-evaluate it if you’d like? I read somewhere this has happened to other people with luxury items 😕

ctbennett91 @imadoll1234 hi! So I finally heard back....they said they couldn’t authenticate...but they said if I can take it to get it authenticated and provide proof then they will allow me to repost. So I can drop it off at the real real today (seeing as they had already shipped it back to me) and have them try and authenticate but it may take a few days, is that alright? Or do you have any other solution? Just want to be accommodating..so sorry about this.

But I just dropped it off at the real real and the woman there said to her it looked real but they are sending it to their authentication center in San Francisco to be verified. I live in Los Angeles so it will probably arrive early next week...once I get confirmation I’ll let you know! Thank you again for all your patience!

ctbennett91 @imadoll1234 hi, so I have an update... Murphy’s law....The Real Real has “misplaced” my items...I dropped off a few other things with them along with the belt 🙄. They have filed an investigation claim and are trying to locate where they are...thinking that it may still be with the store. I should get an email from them with an update. I am seriously SO sorry about this. What a nightmare! I will continue to keep you updated

ctbennett91 Hi! So sorry for delay! Good news!! They found the pieces... and they were able to authenticate it! I still don’t have the pieces back yet but just wanted to loop you in! I’m asking The Real Real if I could get a statement or something proving the authenticity...I’ll let you know what they say.

ctbennett91 @imadoll1234 Hi! So I spoke with The Real Real and because I am not selling through them, they won't provide a letter, but they did confirm it was real. Just to give you full disclosure, I also sent an image to the place you recommended (before sending to The Real Real) and they through pictures said they couldn't confirm it was real. I trust The Real Real, since they physically had the piece and have a whole team of authenticators.

ctbennett91 @imadoll1234 So here is my solution... There is no pressure, but if you are still interested, when I get the piece back, I can repost as a "blue belt".. If you chose to purchase and for some reason are unhappy or think it is unauthentic, I will gladly take it back. Since I will have posted it as a "blue belt" you can open a case that the item isn't as described since the belt is actually black, and posh will process the return and give you your money back.

Absolutely no pressure though. I won't have the belt back from The Real Real until end of April so you have time to decide. Just let me know if you'd like me to repost :)
