restylepile Congrats on your very first listing! I know you will have lots of quick sales and a great shopping experience! Here are some tips: ⚠️ Beware of SCAMMERS who ask to do business outside of Poshmark (email, phone #, etc.) 📸 Take great, clear photos. 🔖 Describe your listings as much as possible (measurements, conditions, etc.) And remember, Poshmark only allows 👗 fashion/accessories to be sold. 🎁 Click 'Offer' to negotiate a price with a seller. Most importantly, have fun!

restylepile @hapa_wahine so basically you list up an item, someone purchases it (by buying or offering a price) and then you ship it out. You can use a generic cardboard box or a USPS Priority Mail box that you can get for free on the USPS website. Then, you print the shipping label, this is automatically sent to your email after an order goes through. You put the label on the box (there is a designated spot) and drop it off at a USPS near you.

hapa_wahine @angelicapparel how do I receive payment? Because I'm not just going to to ship without receiving payment first right? This is my first time selling so I'm confused on how I receive if purchased by credit card

restylepile The payment part is a bit tricky but it makes perfect sense. When someone purchases an item from you, their credit card/payment method is charged for the item (+shipping) but Poshmark holds that money. Once the item is delivered to the buyer's house and they inspect the item and can confirm it is exactly as described, they "accept" the item. Once the item is accepted, you get your earnings deposited into your Poshmark balance. Continued...

restylepile Oops, forgot that part. When the USPS carrier drops off the package, it is deemed "Delivered". If the buyer decides to not accept the package, the funds are automatically released to you 3-4 days after the item is delivered. That way, you can get your money either way.

restylepile The labels are automatically emailed to you from Poshmark. It already has your address and the buyer's address on it, therefore you're not the one setting the label up. It's a very simple process once you have done it once. And if someone is asking you for an email, they're 99.99% a scammer. They do this because they know that when they receive your item, they are under no obligation to pay you since once you take a deal off of Poshmark, it is no longer protected by Poshmark.

restylepile Yup! Once it is deemed "Sold", you receive a email from Posh and it will be named something along the lines of "[name of listing] just sold to [name of buyer] on Poshmark!"
