jbd_boutique Thank you for sharing my listing! I just noticed in your bio, that your home is smoke and FLOOD free! 😂 It’s not actually funny, but it’s something I’ve never seen mentioned. Scary to think that flood waters can damage our merchandise and I’m glad you are safe. I live in California, so we don’t get floods very often and usually droughts. We hardly ever get rain after April or before October. Happy Poshing and here’s to a drier season in your part of the world (at least for a little while) 😂😎🌻☀️

vintage_chiara @jbd_boutique Thank you, our charming coastal community of Tarpon Springs is on the Gulf coast of West central Florida. We made the national news last year because there were a lot of homes flooded by surge during Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. Thankfully, our home is not in a flood zone and we did not have to deal with flooding due to our elevation. It's truly Paradise here but those storms did some damage to Florida last year. jbd_boutique @chiara0014 So thankful for your home being safe! I looked up your city and found it’s the “sponge capital”. How special and interesting! I grew up in a monarch butterfly capital in Northern California. I love towns that are famous for something! I’m visiting family in Key West next year. We are considering a move to Florida for retirement, possibly Naples (outside of Tampa). I’m a pretty concerned about hurricanes, but we have earthquakes in California and no warning! 😂

vintage_chiara @jbd_boutique Yes, You’d think that being the “Sponge Capital” we’d be able to absorb all that water! 😂 The best advice for retirement to FL is to have a plan in place for the Hurricanes. Whether that would be staying with friends, family or evacuating to a hotel, it’s important to have a plan in place if one lives near the water. 🌀
