highlandroad @anyas_attic Lol Our families go back in area you where live to about 1800, streets named for husbands family, and our parents both moved to Chicago. It goes full circle I guess. Vols rule!!

highlandroad @anyas_attic I'm big time into genealogy as well, 26 years worth! Thats another reason I look forward to living there! As for the roads, Stinnett & Chastain roads are namesakes.

highlandroad @anyas_attic We must be in same age bracket! I did the Ancestry DNA last year, I still haven't uploaded results to Gedmatch.

anyas_attic @highlandroad I loaded to GEDMATCH and FTDNA....but tested Ancestry.....I found my closest relative on FTDNA......I am just learning about chromosomes and how to plot them.....but haven't done it yet.....that is suppose to give tons of info if I would start doing that.

highlandroad @anyas_attic Wow, you stepped it up. The ancestry results have been poor, most matches have no tree or locked and they don't respond. You've inspired me to get those uploads done asap. I have a couple of brains that can help with the DNA. Have you thought about one of the higher marker count DNA tests? A cousin did some and it did clear one line up.

anyas_attic @highlandroad I am going to ask my bro if he will do the Y test for me on FTDNA Which will give me a clear shot up the males (my missing branch after a few generations). Are you on facebook? There are a couple of helpful groups on there about the DNA....I try to help on there whenever I can because there are alot of adoptees hunting for bio parents out there.

highlandroad @anyas_attic Yes, FB has been great, many people willing to help. The closest male relatives I have are son, nephews or 1-1x removed, I'll need to find which one would pull usable results.

highlandroad @anyas_attic I've never been able to go to McClung- most trips filled with family. I plan on going when I get moved, looking forward to McClung especially.
