highlandish The lady bug, ceramic is for a prize in a contest I do for the family (spread across the states), every summer. A sunflower growing contest. Last year we had 4 from France growing also, so it’s gone trans-Atlantic, lol. I saw the yellow flower and thought- it will be perfect! The other ceramic, with the red geranium on it, will be for my aspirins, on my vanity, so I do not have to fight with the aspirin bottle lid anymore, lol. Sunflower contest will probably start up on June 1st, that is pretty safe for everyone to grow by. No more frost hopefully by then. Southern states start earlier, Northern states start later, but it does not matter who starts first or ends first- it’s all about the measurement of the height, of the sunflower. So it’s an even playing field. I’ll let you know!
