manyoceans @bubnzo Hey! I received my package (thank you for the amazingly quick shipping! :) ). The extras were really, really lovely! I was doing a look-over of the leggings and did notice the unicorn ones have a hole in the crotch. :( I was a bit bummed, as this was one of the ones I was most excited about! I just wanted to let you know.

The shoes are fantastic! :D I also like all the clothing items, though I did want to let you know they all smell musty. :( The box does, as well. I'm not sure if the clothes caused the box to smell or if the box caused the clothes to smell, but I wanted to let you know in case it was the latter to be careful what you ship in. :)

manyoceans @bluegrasscat59 I noticed that actually 2 of the shoes have a mildewy scent to them, too :( I'm going to work on those when I get home. I'm researching ways to remove the scent. I'm not sure what happened! :/ But I hope that I am a one off with this... I love that you are using the proceeds to help animals. <3

bluegrasscat59 @manyoceans I am mortified! I am so sorry! The clothing is stored on a hanging rack in open-air, and the shoes I polished with a quality leather cleaner before putting them in a plastic tote. As I was gathering them up and dropping them, I did not notice any odor. Perhaps the box is the culprit, but you would not think they would have time to get very smelly. I cannot imagine what happened. Please keep me updated, as I want my customers to be 100% happy! Again, I am so sorry

manyoceans @bluegrasscat59 I honestly feel like a jerk bringing it up at all, but just wanted you to know in case it was something fixable for the future. I'm most worried about figuring out the shoes. I have the clothes hang drying since last night and will try washing them over the weekend. I really hope I can get the smell it off the shoes, because the born sandals are great and I really want to wear them this spring!

bluegrasscat59 @manyoceans I had a pair of shoes that were smelly inside & made my feet smell horribly! I took an old pair of socks, filled it with rice + baking soda & put them in the shoes. after some time the odor went away and my feet quit stinking when I wore them.

bluegrasscat59 My daughter's cat piddled on her "favorite" shirt, which just happened to be laying in the back of her closet from who knows how long after it happened. So I washed it, still smelled soaked it in enzymes, still smelled. Took it to dry cleaner, still smelled.

bluegrasscat59 At the recommendation of another rescuer, I got some Thornells cat odor off, a highly concentrated odor eliminator that is frequently used in Kennels. I frequently use it in the car after I've had to transport cats or dogs to the vet and sometimes they don't smell so great when they come from the shelter.

bluegrasscat59 It works much much better than Febreze, and although I haven't tried it on leather, most fabrics tolerate it really well with no color loss or staining, so perhaps stretching the items would help. An ounce makes a gallon. Shall I send you some? I don't mind!
